WR Chris Conley from Georgia 6'2"/210 or so and run a 4.35 opened my eyes...and had a 45" vertical and the best broad jump since 2003. 45"!

Damn!

Conley's hands looked pretty good, too.

He dropped one he should have had but still.

I might have my 2015 Combine Guy.

Dante Fowler Jr. wore a gold watch while running a 4.61 40.

Vic Beasley!

Put on 10 pounds to get to 245
Repped 35 in the bench
4.53 40 with a 1.59 10-yard

He showed up.

Fowler shot up too.

Shane Ray is going to fall.

I think I've done a turn on Vic Beasley. He looks like a player. He looked much better than Fowler.

I just don't know their defense and where they play him.

I think they're very likely to go defense with the first pick.

I would love one of the WRs in the first and Petty in the 3rd. I think Petty has moved into the 2nd round and may very well be a late first round pick.

He's better than I thought he was. He'll probably go in the 2nd.

McKinney underwhelmed a bit with his bench reps and 40 time. But I still like him.

I don't think it's enough for him to slip to the early 3rd but I'd love to steal him there.

You're letting the combine change your opinion after you saw them play? The NFL does this backwards. The combine should come first so you can identify who has the physical tools then play the season to see if those tools translate into performance. I see how this system leads to so many blown draft picks.

Beasley changed his body type and kept top-shelf burst and power.

So, yes, I'm changing my opinion.

Take a player like Beasley. Great college production in SEC. Nothing but results as a pash rusher in a great conference. But that's at 235. That won't fly in the NFL. He put on 10 lbs and kept his athleticism.

Where errors occur is a guy like Chris Conley. Mediocre college production at Georgia but insane measureables.

This guy changed his body type in two months after the season? Is he going to keep that body type or did he do it for the combine?

He'll need it for the NFL. So he needs to keep it. So in college he's wasn't maxed out physically. Under a professional nutrition plan and NFL weight training program his measurables will still translate.

That's the hope at least.

I watched quite a bit on Saturday.

DeVante Parker was hot-dogging through drills.
Sean Mannion is so awkward. He's too tall and didn't look fluid
Liked how Bryce Petty threw the ball. Just gotta teach him how to drop back!
Jameis is a stud. His dropbacks were quick, sharp and he zipped the ball. No floaters. Pretty deep ball too.

I like Prewitt.

Tartt intrigues me. He looked good at the Senior Bowl. He's a big dude that can move. He'd hurt people over the middle.

Going Fowler/Beasley in the 1st and grabbing one of these guys in the 2nd would be an excellent start.

Waynes was the top CB on tape. I didn't expect him to run the fastest 40-yard dash out of the CBs though. 4.32 is impressive.

Damn. 4.32.

4.32! Damn, well done Trae. The Eagles are crying as there is no chance he'd drop to 20 anymore.

I heard a scout (didn't catch his name) on Mully and Hanley this morning say the combine is a cross checking exercise. He said if a player over or under performs at the event you go back to the tape and try to figure out what you missed. I wouldn't like that system. I want my last impressions of a player to be on the field not in a controlled environment showcase or on tape.
