Don't think so. Unless he could get someone else to take them for him.

Probably has happened, but can't think of a stud player.

Dan Hampton used to have knee surgeries between games. Of course, he wasn't expected to do the things Rose is. Instead of bashing Rose, I would think people would be embarrassed for criticizing him as "soft" when he was out there trying his ass off on a torn knee. But I guess that would be a different narrative.

WTF Boys!?? This is absolutely the best thing that have could have happened to this team. That eggshell ball hawg was absolutely hampering the team just like 'Mello in NY! Good fucking bye Derrick.

My only regret is that I never saw him at 100%. (I had stopped being a Bulls fan when Pippin left) I saw him play exactly one quarter in 2011. By the next game he was done for the year.

Good-bye Derrick. Come back when you can stay longer. Viva la Brooksie! (he will get the job, won't he?)

I would feel better if Rose was a SF. The Bulls only have 1 average PG on their roster. Of course Paxson will find someone that Thibs can coach up.

I keep hearing that this is a common injury after the initial surgery and that Rose should be back before the end of April.

I hope that's wrong. But I know that teams for some reason refuse to believe when stars are toast. Tony Conigliaro was damn near blind but continued "playing" for years. The Cardinals have been fucking around with a broke-dick Jaime Garcia for 3 years and is gonna do it again this season.

Since he has not played a full season in 3 years it's time for management to cut bait. It's all great that Derrick is a warrior and he'll be back in 2016. With each comeback his skills have dropped off and they will continue to do so. So let him ride into the sunset and get a point guard and move on.

The Bulls aren't going the Gilbert Arenas route. Rose and the Bulls are married until 2017.

Meanwhile, mark my words that when the organization and Thibs part ways after this season, they will try and pin Rose's health on him.

"Sun-Times Basketball" is Cowley, right?

I do. Even worse. Try Let's try your main man Lance. He is shooting about 15% on the season from three.

I wish this injury to Rose would have happened a week earlier before the trade deadline. I would have taken a gamble on Lance.

What are the odds Rose knew this before trade deadline and dropped it on Bulls now to fuck them over?

Good. He may have done it while he was on vacation and tried to play through it. That would explain his play after the all star game.

There were a lot of quality PGs available too.

What explains his play before the ASG?

Right, could have reacquired Augustin.

I remember watching one of the games earlier in the season and seeing how he could continually having problem with his knees. They showed a slow motion replay and you could see where his knees were about to buckle. All that starting and stopping at such a fast rate will do it over time. The dude puts a lot of pressure on his knees with how fast that he runs. It is only a matter of time before he blows something out. It also looks like he has become much heavier during the past few yrs. With the type of knee injuries that he has suffered you would think that it would be better for him to reduce the amount of weight that he is carrying.

He played what probably was his best game of the season in the last game before the break.
