In the year 2525, if man is still alive,
If basketball can survive, they may find
in the year 3535.

This should be interesting...I can see the Bulls saying 4-6 weeks, and Rose saying he won't return unless he's 100%, which means next year. And if he does return this season, Thibs will be criticized for playing him too much or too little.

D Rose hasnt had a great season, he has shown flashes, he has taken some nights off.

Now there is a thought he took the surgery that will get him playing faster.

If he comes back and leads this team to a title, he gets Chicago Sports HOF status...which would be pretty cool going from the bottom to the top in a season.

As I said before, Rose is as soft as puppy shit.
This is the third? time with the same injury. Means he is not rehabbing and conditioning correctly. He is a pampered spoiled bitch.
He has shown no heart or will to play to his salary. I may not like Labron but he has one thing that Rose has none of- a desire to win.
If anyone has a thought that he is going to come back this year and play in anything close to full time play I got some beachfront property to sell you in Arizona. Fucking guy is a joke, what makes it worse is that he is doing this shit in his home town and people here are still defending him.

or it means youre a dumb piece of shit chaspoopcup.

the doctors TOLD rose when he had the last surgery they might need to go back in there and do some cleaning up.

his problem was pain, not ability. the pain was expected by doctors. they did what they thought they might have to do, and the surgery went as well as it could have.

no wheel chairs, derrick walked out of the outpatient center after the surgery. doctors told him by next week he can start practicing, and everything looks good for an early april return.

relax guys. read the facts. rose will be back for playoffs.

40.7% FG, 28.7% 3P, career low in APG [minus his 10 game stint last season], 3.2 turnovers, career low in RPG, etc.

How do you explain how he keeps on getting the same injury? His rehabs taking longer than almost any other athlete with the same type of injury? I do not hear of others wit this type of injury who keep on having it year after year, whose performance keeps on diminishing on such an exponential level as his is doing? In 6 years as a pro he has averaged 55 games a year that is 68% average of games per year. You tell me that is a good investment on the teams money and time? What does the team have to show for it? Where are the rings? MJ played in 82 games every year of his first 6 years except number 2. Want me to compare other guys with the same injury, it will make him look like the huge pussy he is. He is not a team player, he is selfish and has no heart or win in him. Adrian Petersen blew both his knees and mised 2 games and came back and was running circles round people with 2300 pound guys trying to kill him. All rose is doing is running and he can't even do that. RG3 same thing, he played in a play off game when he shouldn't have with a torn knee and he was back at the start of the year. you didn't hear non of the ,got to save my body for life after the game talk, from either one of them like you do from this ball of wuss.

Also, many athletes have had nagging, repeat injuries that have derailed their careers. Many of them in Chicago.

Head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes...

True , but not usually right out of the gate and they didn't make comments like Rose does about his health and outlook

rgIII came back way too early from injury and likely ruined his career. i agree rose should have came back sooner on both injuries, but he didnt. boo hoo. at least we know he can still play at the mvp level. maybe not consistently like he used to, but he can. and the mental will he brings to the team is exponential. without him we are just a team. first game he comes back everyone on the roster feels they are playing for a title. you cant put a price on that.

i think hes stupid and doesnt really understand what his words sound like to other people. but its obvious he tries hard. he really did rehab well. its not like he came back out of shape.

I'd like nothing better than to see Rose return and lead the team to a title this year (or any year) but it ain't happening. Having been lucky enough to see the entire careers of Walter Payton and Michael Jordan (10's on the Warrior Scale) Rose is maybe a 5. As to his public relations skills, he is a 1. His game was (and is) as a scorer going hard to the hole and that is only there occasionally as it seems he doesn't trust his knees (with good reason). He is a terrible shooter (worst 3 point % in the league at one point) so sad to say, but with the 2015 version of a healthy Rose, they may make it the the ECF at best, bet LeBron is a true warrior and when the game is on the line, I don't see the Bulls competing at all at that level. And what will that mean after the season? Bye bye Thibs??

They owe him 41M for the next 2 years so he has 2 years to prove he can play again at an elite level in this city before they will have to decide whether to move on or not. Sad but he seems destined to be an injury plagued athlete who never achieved greatness.

A modern comparison is Russell Westbrook. He's also had knee issues but given his warrior mentality is damn close to 10, he refuses to lose and is dominating the league and doesn't give a fuck about anything except kicking ass (like Jordan) although no one is a Jordan.

Rose should learn from his buddy and do what he does instead of showing up maybe once every month like he has this season.

I hope I am 100% wrong and I hope this window results in a championship but seems maybe a 75-1 bet at best.

Westbrook only played 46 games the season after injuring his meniscus and has had 3 surgeries on it already. Rose has played in 46 games this year. Both are shooting about 28% - 29% from 3 this year, only Rose has taken way more. Sounds like he is generally following Westbrook's lead.

In those 46 games, Westbrook averaged 21.8, 6.9 APG, 5.7 RPG whereas in the 46 games this season Rose has averaged 18.4, 5.0, 3.7. And this season Westbrook is a beast: 26.5, 8.1, 6.8.

Westbrook is a beast, no doubt. One who had plenty of setbacks coming back from the meniscus tear. If Rose can see a similar increase in productivity in year 2 of the recovery, I'd take it.

my point was dipshit his pain kept him from being great, but he did show he still has the ability a bunch of times.
