Patrick Sharp Rumors
Since the article about our opinion on Patrick Sharp has been released, it’s clear that the Chicago Blackhawks want us to be quiet. It’s no coincidence the Chicago media isn’t using our name in their publications and won’t allow our name to be said on local radio.
If everything we posted was “false” and “laughable” then why are the Chicago Blackhawks responding to it? There are thousands of publications written daily from various websites, why would they take the time to respond to us? The reason is because people believe us.
The Chicago media is responding saying “it’s nobody’s business,” yet they all took time to get involved by writing their own response columns. Must be tough to be a member of Chicago media, where your job depends on connections to the Blackhawks, and forced to keep quiet about the very things you know to be true. Sports Mockery isn’t part of this group.
Everyone wants facts, here’s some facts:
If any of the members of Chicago media publicly sided with us, the Blackhawks would blackball them. Hence the word publicly. There are a LOT of people willing to talk, but nobody will put their name on it, therefore we have to keep our sources anonymous.
Patrick Sharp said the rumors about him have affected his play. Here’s a quote from the Chicago Tribune – “The veteran admitted that the rumors have affected his play on the ice.” Our article was published Saturday, Sharp hadn’t played one game since it was written.
CBS pulled our advertising from their radio show yet hasn’t provided us any written documentation why. On Mully and Hanley yesterday they said that the Blackhawks could easily tell 670 The Score they will never have another player on the show if the wrong thing was said.
Sports Mockery is not digging into people’s personal life, this wasn’t and still isn’t our intention. We simply discovered information that has been swept under the rug for years when investigating the issues with the team. We are sharing what we found.
That being said, we have more information and we will continue to reveal it. We are doing this our way, so the opinions of local media don’t matter. If it was up to them, you wouldn’t know anything. The Blackhawks clearly control the media in this town, but they don’t control Sports Mockery. We are not intimidated by their scare tactics.
We are here for the fans and we will bring the fans what we find so they can draw their own conclusions.
