The afternoon show has been very stale since Mac left. Spiegs just isn't a very interesting radio personality and the same goes with Boers and Bernstein. The score needs more meatball hosts like Mike North and Mac. Sports is entertainment. I don't want "serious" sports talk.

Has Goff exhaled since he came back on the air ?

Goff is good for the station...at least right now...he is on a short term deal and needs to make an impact. The man is pushing to get out and press the flesh with the people. Sound slike he need some cooperation from the couch crew he is working with.

As far as a couch crew goes, Spiegs , Jay and Shep would be a quality full sunday of watching sports and eating, but need a better plan than that to be a radio show.

Why didn't Grote get a shot with Spiegel? That guy is pretty funny and seems like a cool dude. Now he's a Cub, but would of loved to see him get a shot!

Went down around the same time. I think every person there, outside of BB, want out or a more stable deal.

I hadn't really thought about it but it's strange that I listened to Goff more when he was in Atlanta than since he's come back to Chicago.

Goff's been decent. Seems almost a little too caffeinated right now and transition is a dis-jointed, talk over one another mess (more than usual).

goff has been excellent since his return. the drive to work is fun again. him and speigs work well together. goff will be the lead host officially someday... hes already driving the show. goff is upbeat, funny, realistic, voice not annoying... hes got the stuff. oh he also watches games, and speigs does too... so in rare fashion we get to listen to BOTH guys have opinions and not just one saying "mmhmm i agree" all the time.

I do miss stuff, believe it or not. I don't even remember the names of long time board members that hate me. Like when I see an insult, I sometimes don't know if it's a long time hater or if it's new. I'm serious. I'll be up for another half hour or so.
