Probably because Chet wrote this.

@JulieDiCaro @ChrisRongey please, go kiss robin ventura.you'll feel better. #WhiteSDox #Houseman 4 ever a recap guy, never a show host

He also called Julie DiCaro a "little tart" before that, which brought Rongey in on his horse.

And TenFootMidget tried to make a column out of it with gifs. Terrible.

I see he includes his own tweet in there, just in case this masterpiece wasn't self-congratulatory enough.

Someone used this reference before but he is like a "Multiplicity" version of Bernstein. Every version (Goff, Drinky, Rongey, Baffoe) is a little worse

That doesn't really make Chet look bad. More like an honest guy with enough sack to say what he thinks rather than hinting at it.

Right

The little tart thing is kinda bad. The rest is just Chet spitting truths

I dont know Julie DiCaro. Maybe he's right about that too. He probably should have just called her a pin cushion.

I wonder if this is like the movie Multiplicity, where each successive Bernstein Clone is more and more defective. Somewhere in the Score's offices there's an intern mumbling "how does Sara Ganim white people you closer to a narrative?" while repeatedly bumping into a wall.

And that intern turned out to be Steven Berger, talking about Chicago sports on the radio in Chicago, Illinois.

I remember him trying to start a thing called "Berger bites" with hot takes of the day. That was funny.

Chester has apparently penned the forthcoming, much-anticipated bio of none other than Doug Buffone. He may not be on radio these days, but he's everywhere else. The King of Some Media (in Chicago).

Wonder if Doug checks Chet's pockets before he leaves.

Ha. Those are trophies collected from Dan Hampton's locker circa 1983. The open bag in the foreground makes me want some nachos.

Doug is a diabetic and probably has existing issues from his football days.

Mac publicly washed his hands of him, after trying to put some good words in for him on various fronts, Chet went off on him and started with the "You owe me" thing again...

Chet is really weird on his vision of history. He was around when sports media got big, yes, but he didnt make it big. If it wasnt him, it would have been someone else...Chet and North are not the reason sports talk stations become viable.

If Bruce Wolf kept the job WSCR offered him, you would never know who Mike North is and people would hate Wolf now....more than they do....doesnt mean I didnt like North, but he isnt the reason WSCR became what it was. It was the only ALTERNATIVE.....Does that ring a bell to anyone? ALTERNATIVE ROCK? WXRT? Same Owners? They would have one it without north, chet, etc....

After Bigfan's history lesson on Sports Radio, it's obvious that the genre was created by racists and anti-semites.

Mike North
Chet Coppock
Bruce Wolf

Yikes...

Bruce Wolf is a card-carrying Tribesman, D-nozzle.

But he is racist.
