When is this chump, Pace, going to make a decision on Cutler? You have to talk to previous coaches to know that he's not a winner, something every Bear fan has known for frigging years??? What do you think they're going to say, "Well he got me fired, but I still think he's ok and can lead the team to victory"????

More dysfunction at H.H., when you have a bumbling rookie G.M. having to make important personnel decisions. Looks to me like he's trying to pass the buck to justify whatever decision he's going to make.

It doesn't have to be an effing secret. Either announce Cutler's gone or trade the loser away for whatever you can get. It's not hard. Effing do something already!!!

Probably after the draft. What is the point in doing something now?

Because they should. There's no clarity with the organization's direction until Cutler is gone.

 Gotta love fans.

Pace is already a chump.

He has not drafted one person yet.

He has not finished one free agent signing period.

Yet he is already a chump

Pretty sure they have to cut bait by March 12th or else they are committed financially to more money.

I question the thought process of a guy in Pace, the supposed new leader of the organization, that feels he has to solicit the opinions of former coaches about something that it obvious to everyone but him, that Cutler is no good. To be tiptoeing on eggs shells around Cutler at this point is utter nonsense. Cutler needed a kick in the ass a long time ago, now he just needs a kick out the door.

Pace is a young first time GM. I like the fact that he reached out to numerous NFL coaches to get their thoughts on Cutler.
I love everything that he has done since becoming the Bears GM. Who in the hell thought that he would be able to hire Fox and Fangio?

He needs to be spoon-fed by former coaches that Cutler is a loser. If he can't figure that one out by himself, how the heck is he going to judge other talent, like in the draft and free agency??

Pace must be wetting himself for being over his head.

He is just hoping some desperate team out there is willing to trade for him. I expect Cutler to be gone at the deadline to do it.

I'd wait until he inevitably fucks up his drafts before calling him a dope.

Hold up.

Where are you getting this deal that Pace is going to all these guys to base his opinion on Cutler?

The article I just read says nothing of the sort.

Quote:
At least 10 former Chicago Bears staffers from the Lovie Smith and Marc Trestman regimes said recently they believe the team can't consistently compete for championships as long as it fields a lineup with Jay Cutler under center.

That sentiment might explain why head coach John Fox and general manager Ryan Pace remain uncommitted to Cutler as the team's starting quarterback for 2015. Deciding whether to commit to Cutler has a time element. If Cutler is on the Bears' roster on March 12, $10 million of his 2016 salary is guaranteed.

Seems to me that Pace and Fox have really said nothing much about Cutler.

What I'm saying is this, Pace is sending bad signals by being indecisive with Cutler in having to solicit a committee opinion when it's obvious to everyone but him what should be done. Either get something for him in a trade or cut him. It's not a rocket science project. Cutler never won with the Bears with four different offensive coordinators. Why should Pace think that it will be any different going into next year, when arguably the team will have less talent than it did in previous years on offense?

To me, Pace is projecting weakness with indecisiveness and being non-committal about fucking everything. I don't like it one bit.

But nothing has been said that says Pace solicited a committee opinion.

What gets me is the Bears on offense enter this season (right now) with basically the same group as last year. People were whispering "long playoff run, possible Super Bowl" back then.

Free agency hasn't begun and the draft hasn't been held.

Jay took a bum offense to the NFC Championship in 2011. Who's saying the 2015 Bears will have less talent on offense than the 2014 Bears?

Yes,but none of the starter's on offense are FA's.

They had a deep threat in Johnny Knox and Forte had a lot less miles on the tires than he does now. The importance of Knox cannot be overstated. Forte is done now, cannot get any yardage between the tackles.

Main problem with the offense is no speed at the receiver or running back positions. They have to correct that to be better.

Wonder how many of the 10 coaches have won Super Bowls without Cutler.

I would question a GM that didn't use any inputs he could get in the decision process.
