I'm not in the market for any new gear, but the way TM and Callaway gear drops in price is insane. Really no reason to buy upon release.

I think you are right on the loft based on the reviews. I have always hit the ball really high so I have been wanting to gear down forever.
Maybe this can help after I find the right adjustments. Agreed on the name brand golf gear nose diving in price. My current driver is 5 years
old, maybe this way I can keep up with technology by getting a new driver every couple of years rather than a new one every 4-5.

Weather people up here are saying this is the last of the frigid temps. Next week 30s and 40s. Supposed to get the new driver in the mail today, might have to
hit the driving range as early as this weekend.

I have a pair of Icons. Nice shoes once they get broken in.

New driver arrived in the mail yesterday afternoon. Was in very good shape for being used and was exactly what I was hoping for. Took the wrench out
and moved the weight around to feel what it was like in the heel, middle and toe. Could see how it could potentially help me with it in the toe and keeping
the face open just a split second more. Took the head off and checked it out at 7.5, 9 and 10.5 degrees. Pretty cool. Can't wait to try it out. I'll likely
get a new mid sized grip put on it this weekend at Dicks.

So no real marks on the shaft or head, did it look new?

A few small nicks on the face that will likely come off with some goo gone. Took stickers off the shaft and looks brand spanking new. New tool and new head cover.
Also got a 12 month limited warranty on it. Taylor Made standing completely behind their stuff. I was impressed. When I ordered you can buy in different conditions
( Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, etc... ). I paid like $15 more for Excellent and looks brand new to me except for the marks I mentioned. No sky ball marks or
anything on the head and no wear on the shaft, can read all writing and see all color and designs like new.

Looking at it tuned down to 7.5 degrees I can't wait to see how the ball flight comes off and if I can actually hit it. I'd definitely buy from them again if I was interested in anything
TaylorMade.

Temps in the mid 50s next week! Hoping to get out to the range to hit a few balls. With a bit of luck and temps that stay at least above freezing, we should probably be able to get out and play a round before the end of the month. Less than pristine conditions and some mud is likely, but it sure seems as if winter is definitely on its way out of town.

Memberships at my course go on sale in two weeks. I'll be getting one then but may not play until April depending on how wet it is.

Rory just tried to hit a cut, but hit a hook into the water. He proceeded to throw his iron into the water. What a fucking baby.

Hard for me to criticize him for something like that considering in that department my house isn't made of glass, its made of saran wrap.

Having a weird winter, its like I've lost the desire to play or watch golf. Haven't picked up a club since September and don't miss it. Don't care that the weather is gonna warm up. Maybe as it does the desire will return, at least that's the hope.

Had such a frustrating season last summer, way more frustrating than anyone who worked as hard as I did at his game deserved. Starting to think that my back is never going to allow me to be as good as I think I should be.

My brother broke and threw some clubs that my dad played with as a kid into a water hazard in high school and never told him about it when
my dad went looking for them to refurbish. I broke a driver during practice once in high school. Stopped getting mad on the golf course
about 10 years ago when I realized what people meant when they said a bad day on the course is still better than most days at the office.

It's been at least ten years since I got pissed off on the course. I was slowly losing it during a brutal round, when my buddy turned to me and said, "you aren't good enough to get pissed off". Truer words were never spoken.

not recently, but yes.

I'm not even going to tell you how many clubs I broke last season. As I said, it was a very frustrating season. I doubt there are many people with similar handicaps as mine (10.5) that had the extreme ups and downs I had last year. Shanks, slices and hooks. I dealt with extreme bouts of all 3 last summer. A solid month battling shanks in August. From July on I battled a hook in all my irons. And I lost my ability to draw the ball off the tee and reverted back to slicing all summer. Combated that by changing my swing and eventually figured out how to keep it straight, but lost a solid 60 yards off the tee and was poking them out there about 210 by the end of the season.

Short game off the green from 100 yards in was great though

You were hitting nice draws off the tee when we played in Schaumburg.

yea that was summer of 13. Hence my frustration a year later when I couldn't duplicate or build on that at all. If i drew 3 balls all summer off the tee that's more than I remember.

tell ya one thing about the pen. Never got mad at it, never tried to throw it 50 yards down the fairway, never helicoptered it over the head of an old lady on the next tee.

Regripped new driver with a jumbo grip by Winn. I really don't like how slick it is and not sure if going to the
size up from Mid was a good choice. Just doesn't feel right. I usually use another grip with more traction.
I should try it before I dump it and start over but usually when it feels wrong it's just wrong.

Still using an old Burner 2.0.
Got new shaft/grip last year. Works for me.

I had some Dick's gift cards burning a hole in my pocket.
