The question was "Guard". So both. But if you combined them both, you'd take Westbrook if you're not stupid.

I take Curry still. And I like Westbrook. But he is a chucker. Currently on a good run, but his team isn't having as much success as you'd think.

And I like Westbrook, but yes, he is a chucker, he lost the game last night...if he hits rim on his last shot, bulls might not even get a chance at a last shot...

Westbrook is a chucker but right now he is the best guard in the league. He is a nightmare for opposing guards. He also competes hard on both ends. They would not be in the playoff chase if it were not for him. The thing that i have always liked about him was that he will always take the cover on defense. In the finals series he checked Dwayne Wade for most of that series though they played two different positions. I will never forget how James stuck Kendrick Perkins and Durant guarded Mario Chalmers for most of the series. Curry is a liability on defense and turnover prone. Chris Paul is still in the mix because he has a history of making teams and players better which you want your point guard to do.

Westbrook is a fucking monster. Period. But, like Derrick he's a black hole for basketballs...that's why we were able to stay close last night...not enough passing and cutting in the half court. Plus, all that fire and attitude is unnecessary in B-ball. Oscar, Jerry, Walt and Pistol Pete were cool customers and they got the job done.

I would still take Curry over Westbrook for reasons of team unity. But OMG, Westbrook is good!

As I "understand" it, WAR in baseball is a matter of subtracting the bad from the good to come up with a number. Is there such a stat for basketball? What I'm wondering is how Rose stacked up in his good seasons vs. this post injury era. I'd also like to find out who the top players are (all time) and how they stack up.

Does this stat exist?
