You gotta take longevity into consideration. Wilbur was great for just a few years

So was Sayers. Wilber was perfect for the 46; going to Washington made him into more of a coverage LB.

Wilber was never even the best linebacker on the Bears, and his career stats and accomplishments just don't match up with my top 5.

He had the right measurables.

I Repeat, cuz I think it got lost in the thread, Singletary won "NFL Defensive Player of the year" twice. One of only 3 to do so. Nobody has won it 3 times.

Yeah but Lance Briggs .......

People talk about him being overrated because his accolades and awards make him top 3 or 4 all-time when he's performance-wise more like top 10-15.

This is correct. I'm sure if Singletary did a radio show with Larry he'd be just as good as Briggs.

Laurence, Herb, and Joe are definitively letting us know that Singletary wasn't very good.

Isn't pro bowl selection based off of fan vote among other things? If so, pro bowl selection doesn't mean shit imo.

All Pro is based off of peer and coach selection if I am not mistaken, carries more weight as far as stuff like that.

In any event, I watched both play and in my opinion (as a fan, which doesn't really mean shit) is that they were both pretty damn good but I'd give the edge to Singletary.

Briggs was definitely better at evading law enforcement after motor vehicle accidents no doubt.

He cheated by getting off to a head start tho, woulda been more interesting if he would have at least waited to hear sirens.

With the people he had playing around him?!? I think it's certainly possible; not preferable to be sure, but certainly possible.

They could have plugged someone in for Hampton, too...or Dent...or Harris...or Bell...

The defense was just great.
