Not saying that they are going to make the play offs.

I am saying that they will be in contention for a play off berth going into week 15 though.

ok, I'll go 9-7 and a good run in the playoffs. Fox finishes 2nd in coach of the year.

or at least until after Tuesday, which is Jay Pay Day...

I still think there are teams that almost need to roll the dice on a QB as thye have a WINDOW....Houston, St louis are examples.

Not saying it means that they take Jay, but its an example.

I do know the Bears can tell Jay that his agent can seek a trade. Trading Jay is not what the Bears want to do, however, during those TRADE dealings, Jay can work a FA deal with another team. Yeah its a tricky move but not illegal. Bears Cut Jay, Jay has new deal set with St Louis, St Louis trades Bears overall 9th pick for Kaseem Carey. bears now have 7th and 9th.

They as Draft goes on and IF Miariotta available, trade down with Philly for their 1st and 2nd this year, and maybe a 2nd...

Yeah, its all complicated....but not that complicated, BB does it every year and reloads for NE.

Whatever happens, lets see if Jay is still here on Wed.

I don't believe that Jay is the central premise for how the Bears turn out.

John Fox won't wait until week 15 like Tresty did if Jay starts with his passive aggressive bullshit.

I am a Jake Locker fan, surprised he is still out there. He needs to play smarter, as he is reckless and gets injured, but he is still 26 and you would think he got a little smarter with a season ending injury.

After that you get into Mike Vick, Matt Moore...and if anyone thinks Claussen does anything past 20 yards it crazy.

I am not a huge Jay fan, but compared to the aletrnatives, he is the best option at the position.

Without him, 6 wins might be a high point....and thats a wish.

How many more wins are Fox, Fangio and Gates worth? At least 3-4 over last years disaster.

BEARS!!!

I think the Bears will move toward a ball control offense. Whether that's short passes, or a lot of run mixed with play action, remains to be seen. But if Jay is there, then I when the interceptions start, he will be sat.

It's the oldest style of successful football there is. Just like Dougie B. has been preaching for years.

If Jay is here, the Bears will no doubt do exactly what the Cowboys did with Romo. But I dont think Jay will be here come next Thursday.

Ball control might not only help but might be necessary to avoid blow outs.

While Jay can be better, this defense is HORRIBLE!

Its almost amazing how bad it was last year with the money and draft picks spent on it. The one thing these guys have going for them is that all these shitty draft picks and FA's from last year get a second chance and you know they will draft a arge number of D players. The talent pool for the new staff is pretty large....they even have FA money now...and if Jay is gone...the FA money should be flowing...

It is the NFL...complete turnarounds should be quick....

8 years without a playoff slot in the NFL is almost unthinkable....

Dan Bernstein will break 3 stories by week 12.

I'm going to be an asshole and predict 8-8

atm, I'm more curious what direction they head in the draft. Do they trade down, to they draft offense 1st, defense?

This is my take. 9 wins minimum.

Well, an old roster got older, little ascending talent, best WR traded, idiot QB has to learn another system, and the head coach is a known choke artist:

19-0. Super Bowl

Ownership has expressed a strong interest in a defensive player is what my guy told me, but they also told pace that if he likes an offensive guy he should pick that guy.

Unless they pick a kicker, got all bases covered.

5-11 Cutler goes down with injury by week 6 and things spiral after that.

Regardless of the draft or FA signings, I cannot see this team winning more than 6 games this upcoming season.

Well then that will give our division 2 known choke artist head coaches after the Packers recent playoff hilarity.

Guess the Bears front office meant what they said when they wanted to build a team similar to the Packers.

Now all we need to do is find a closet homosexual QB and we'll be set.
