Together they are not that good. With different partners they could be awesome. DJ is/was a thousand times better when he does/did the Fox national games, and Farmer was a lot better when he was with Rooney.

They both have funny moments a few times a season. Neither is likeable, both are tolerable.

Can't stand either booth. Stone is good,the rest should get off my lawn.

I think he's fine. Not bad, not great.

Harry was likeable. Bob Brenly is likeable. Whimpy is likeable.

Farmio works for me for one reason only. I would only have the game on the radio in a garage or basement as background for something else. Coming in and out or whatever. He talks just like some guy during a game and can hold your attention a bit or tell you whats up without being utterly annoying. To me anyway.

never cared for Farmer on the radio....color or play by play.
DJ is fine as a color commentator....not great, but not horrible.

Flipped over after the Cubs win to hear Rongey, Farmer and DJ do a roundtable dealio. Farmer said Chicago pumps out soooo much major league talent if you look around MLB. His first example was Denny McLain. That guy is 70!

i always liked rooney and farmer, but i can't say that farmer & DJ really do anything for me. farmer was better when he wasn't driving the broadcast and he was just kind of the old baseball curmudgeon there sniping away alongside a bonafide PBP guy.
