Cause they hired two talk radio guys......

Mancow and Eric and Kathy have been successful FM talk radio concepts (I hate both btw).

You could have stopped there. I suppose he's pleasantly bland and inoffensive. Brian Hanley's personality in Lou Canellis' body.

No one is going to put it better than that. Kudos. Perfectly sums it up.

I listened today so y'all wouldn't have to, CSFMB.

What ever happened to beni?

Nice job with the thread, Hussra. You cracked me up several times this morning. :salut:

Maybe Mac and Eric can do a show together and talk hockey.

"So Mac. I was thinking this morning. I was thinking about...Jonathan Toews."
"Ah, Jonathan Toews, the captain, #19, the same number worn by the great Troy Murray--"
"Shut up. So I was thinking about Toews, and what a good player he is."
"Have you seen the ass on that guy, Eric? It's like he has a Smithfield ham in his pants."
"Shut up. Just shut up. I have to get to traffic."

I haven't heard that song in 20 years. I'm good for another 20 now.

It's Point of Know Return. I not you shit. I only learned that just now. I was poking around the DRIVE's website, to see if they have a podcast feed, and they have a "now playing" feed of song titles. I had to google "Point of Know Return" to confirm that's the actual title. Something to do with Jesus, or Einstein.

I never knew that either.

That's now one more piece of information taking up valuable brain space for the rest of my life.

If you are over 40 how the hell do you not know the title to point of no return?

Well I hope it loosens some on the rigidity as time moves forward. In then end I actually realized I like music rather than M&H leading me into Meat and Goff.

Tuned in to hear "Who Are You" followed by "Low Rider". Two minutes of talk which included about 15 seconds from Mac. News/traffic/weather/sports. Then a commercial. I really like Mac and wish him well, but that's probably the last time my radio gets tuned into 97.1. I'll get my fill of "Low Rider" from an infomercial selling a box set of "Sounds from the 70's".

Yes for sure. I was thinking of that radio program though, Swinging Sounds of the 70's. That is what he references and turns on.

Spiegs and Goff had a brief chuckle this morning. Nothing malicious, just an AC/DC crack. B&B will probably be meaner and funnier about it.

I am sure the Score is laughing all over the office. At least when Mac went to ESPN, it was a ratings challenge. At WDRV, he has no chance of competing against sports talk radio junkies.

Just giving them credit for a good joke, not an actual entertaining show.

Reared, if you were creating your CSFMB id today, what would you use? "Rear ended by the Score"?

It was fine. I can't see myself listening again since I'm too young to fit into the target audeince they are looking for. Best of luck with this Mac.

So from the sound of it Mac has to program about 1 hour a day and then he is home by about 1pm?

Now that is living the good life.
