Seems like the baseball writer/sandwich review guy for USA Today ssays this Chinatown Pizza joint has the BEST sandwich he has ever eaten.

The breaded steak sandwich.

Do any of you have a review?

A writer wrote a response to that article basically calling the guy an idiot and stating that not only was it not the best breaded steak sandwich in the world, it wasn't even one of the 3 best within walking distance of Ricobene's.

I love ricobenes but that is not the greatest sandwich in the world.

It is worth visiting once in a while but I cannot imagine eating that regularly.

You are crazy. The King Steak is delicious with the sweet peppers and giardinera.

It is indeed a classic.

yep. You order it like a beef, hot, sweet, cheese and easy on the sauce. Great belly buster before a Sox game

when I was a kid my dad would always stop at Ricobenes on the way to Comiskey to pick up steak sandwiches for all of us. Back in those days you could bring the food in the park with you, I doubt that's the case now.

Bagels is correct. It tastes cheap. The sauce is needed to cover up the thin, tasteless, rubbery steak.

because it's a steak only in the sense that a steak sandwich at a hot dog stand is a steak

Chicken fried steak is a variation on the same theme and it is also delicious.

If you're going to bring food into a Sox game, the thing to do is get subs from Bari on Grand.

no one needs an excuse to go to Bari, it should be an everyday occurrence like brushing your teeth and masterbating.
