Plus all the rah-rah leader bullshit seemed to go right on out the window once he took every. single. penny. in his last deal. There have to be real behind the scenes issues between players & mgmt.. It's gotten very mercenary down there (on both sides).

Like I said awhile ago, the Bears are more than welcome to grab another Saints front office person anytime they want. I'd just like a crack at Ozzie Newsome's proteges.

I think ozzie is great at seeing through the bullshit and fake crap players toss out when being drafted.

When these guys get ready for the draft, everyone is cordial, nice, polite, etc. I wanna know if he is going to work with my team, is he going to work hard, be coachable, etc. not a dick, etc...and ozzie sees it as an ex player and knows who is a player and who they dont want around.

They always say, when it oes, it just goes. You can tell Brees makes some of the throws still, but I watch many saints game this year and he had so many tosses that just didnt get there. really with no excuse. I think he is 37/38. HGH time?

I think he has one more run in him. The problem is the Saints are in a bad cap situation.

i agree with some of this, but this team isn't ready to be completely gutted yet...the team that i've heard about is tampa, trading their #1 overall pick. if the saints did that and drafted mariota or winston, the saints will go right back to the doldrums very quickly.

i don't see brees and payton being split up. and why would they have traded for offensive line help (which they desperately needed) if they were just going to shop brees?

brees did play a role in the saints being 7-9 last year. he had some absolutely awful flubs in key situations.

I stated when lovie took over, it was a great setup for him.

Carolina, ATL and NO all poised to fall for various reasons, Money, Injuries, etc.

I just dont see Lovie trading the #1, as I think he is locked in on Winston...or is he trading to Washington? getting RGIII and the #5 pick.

I would think that the one thing Lovie knows at this point is "I NEED A QB"
