Goff and Arkush.

Non-stop giggling for four hours.

I'm out. I tuned in four different times yesterday and bailed each time.

Within a few seconds/minutes, Speigs and Goff were in full giggle mode about something trivial.

Sounded like a tween girl sleepover having tickle fights.

C'mon, man!

That's actually Ultraman. I also loved it as a kid and yes, it is awful.

I watched Spectreman (and Space Giants), too, and they're also pretty bad...but seemed cool as a kid.

Ahh, I don't know that one. I thought it might be different cause sprecteman was mainly yellow, but there is a striking resemblance.

My parents didn't allow a lot of tv viewing, so I was quite sheltered in that regard.

How about 'Gatchaman' (aka Battle of the Planets)?

Voltron too I guess ... never was my bag ... I think there were a couple US versions.

Mention a week or so ago, but that's how I felt about Voltron.

Never heard of it, though I can't in any way claim to be a bigfan of much Japanese fare ... sure perhaps maybe more than the average fella, but the average fella is likely a fraction above zero.

All I can pretend to have the slightest bit of knowledge about is 'Gatchaman' and a bit of 'Lupin III', albeit initially through their 'American' versions (BotP and the laserdisc game 'Cliffhanger', respectively). Bits and pieces of who knows what on rare occasion I find that the Sat nite Anime block on Adult Swim is the best option to leave on the TV in the background.

But no, I'm not terribly conversant on any of it.

Hell, I don't really know anything about Voltron ... I only keep it in mind because many, many, many moons ago my brother was dog-assing it getting ready for school, and I suppose he invoked Voltron as the reason for his lolly-gagging, to which my mother's (rather out of character) response to him was an emphatic, "Shit on Voltron!"

I loved Battle of the Planets! I've had a Berg Katse av here a few times.

Late last year I rented a few Battle of the Planets DVDs through Netflix and don't think I made it through more than one or two full episodes. I either turned it off because it was so bad or I fell asleep. I didn't think I'd love it as much as I did when I was 9 or 10, but I didn't think I'd find it so unwatchable.

Hell, I still enjoy watching episodes from my Spider-Man - The '67 Collection DVDs.

I loved Spectrerman as a kid. I am guessing it is tough to watch now in my old age...
