So Jerry Palm has the Clones as a 2 in the Midwest with Kentucky of course. And Kansas a 3 in a weak west. Even when they lose, Kansas wins.

Not so fast...the booth asked if the win last night would cause ISU to bump KU for the last 2 seed and Lunardi got back to them almost instantly with a no...

...at this point I'm not going to worry about seeding...everyone just stay healthy...

Also, Lunardi's latest bracketology has a potential ISU/Colorado State matchup in the second round (I know, technically third, but fuck that noise)...

...if that happens I'm buying a case a Natty Light for the game.

Awesome, I love when they do that. Say what you wan't about Old Uncle Larry, but the guy can coach as well as he can rock a mock turtleneck.

End up with the 3 seed...which seeing where Kansas landed, well, I'm ok with that.

SMU/UCLA winner in third round...hopefully they can make it to at least the Sweet 16 again...

...best I can hope for at this point is a Duke/ISU Elite 8 showdown...obviously I'd be pulling hard for the Hoibergs but it's nice to have a Duke as a fallback team to root for.

Fuckin UCLA. What a joke the selection committee is. No way they should be in at all.

Perfect scenario. Don't fear Gonzaga at all. They can score with Duke. SMU scares me though. `

I hope Iowa can beat Davidson. Because they could beat Gonzaga. By 20. Or lose by 20.

If Iowa plays Davidson like they played Indiana (most similar in terms of speed and size), they should get Gonzaga. The Zags are a tough matchup for them.

Little plug for the old alma mater. I watched about 20 of their games this year and have never been more entertained watching college b-ball. They probably had 5 games where they scored 50+ points in a half. Always the 2nd--nobody adjusts at halftime better than Hoiberg. Fucking Kansas went into a 2-3 zone with like 4 minutes left the other day because they couldn't keep up man.

Sorry Cyclone fans.... Lipid may want to throw himself on the grill tonight. I had them going to the Final 4.

I had them losing in the final game to KY. I guess they Thibodeau'd it: played too hard in the regular season, nothing left for the post-season.

UAB's size is going to give teams fits.

Complete horseshit. Lowest point total of the entire year--they scored more in halves this year. Outrebounded 50-33. Just a complete and utter bed-shitting.

Sometimes winning those conference tournaments and playing all those games in consecutive days doesn't turn out so well.

Yeah well I just cancelled my Fred Hoiberg fantasy basketball camp registration. If he can't motivate a bunch of 20 year old NBA wannabe stallions, how the fuck is he going to motivate me? On the bright side, no NBA team is gonna touch him for the time being. So that's cool.

Besides the size advantage UAB had, Cyclones looked too relaxed or tentative? in the 2nd half. Like they figured they were going to win no matter what but they let UAB hang around too long. UAB hit some shots and stole the game at the end.

And UAB did a great job doubling on the ball handler on the the last possessions--Iowa State--not such a good job recognizing/anticipating/breaking the double and hitting guys cutting to the basket.

My mantra about this team for the past three years has been "they can beat anyone...and they can get beat by anyone"...

...welp...here we are. Haven't been this disappointed since the team that lost to Hampton. Last years run ending against UConn after Niang got hurt was a different kind of disappointment but at least it seemed like that team went as far as it did with what they had.

When they reported in the first half that the players were blaming the refs and fighting in the huddle, the end result did not surprise me.

If the student body had any self respect they would mob action beat the shit out of Niang when he gets back to school. Guy single handidly cost them the game with his non stop chucking. dude missed every shot he took just about. Fucking bum, I hope he dies in a fire!

I confused Northern Iowa for Iowa State. Now have N. Iowa going to the Final Four.
