Captain Buzzkill has three points tonight on that goal by Hossa. Yikes.

Can we all agree that Crawford sucks and should be benched for the rest of the year?
I know I resisted that thought many times in the past, but I'm sold now.

I think this is a case of them finally looking good. Though this has been a one line dominant game really.

Islanders have run out of gas. They were good for a while but have lost something like 4 in a row.

Good to see Cro turn things around. He's been great lately. As I have said all year, the Hawks are fine and will peak at the right time. I believe the Hawks are 8-1 since Kane went down.

While Leddy has been out.....he is clearly the key to the championship.

I never once wavered on this Hawks team. From day 1 I have said that everything is fine & they are the most talented team in the NHL. Here they are just a few points out of first. This team is on fire at the right time. The Hawks are the team that no one wants to play in the playoffs.

Someone better check on CH...

I was in transit all day, now hanging out in Florida for a couple weeks. Don't wait up on future game threads.

I always liked Toews, but have come to find him emblematic of the stuff I hate about North American hockey culture, this idea that doing "all the little things" is more important than doing big things, that good stoic Western Canadians shall lead us all, you know, stuff like that. If he's going to have a four-point night against a Cup contender, fuckin' awesome! I just get burned out on the talk of his great leadership when he goes through scoring droughts unbecoming of #1 centers and still gets praised for intangibles. For the money, I need tangibles.

Hawks haven't beaten a single playoff team during this "run" aside from last night's win over a team that has lost 4 in a row and 8 of their last 10. Also they are 7-2, not 8-1. Those wins have been vs NYI, PHX, CAR, EDM, FLA (2), SJS. Losses to NYR and a blowout loss to TBL.

Hawks next 4 are vs non playoff teams as well so this "hot" streak should continue.

Real test is the end of the month when they play Winnipeg and LAK back to back, teams fighting for their playoff lives.

With the million days off how do they schedule a home game and then an away game in NYC on back to back days?

Nordstrom is off the Naughty list for tonight!!

All a team can do is to play the teams on the schedule. Many Hawks fans thought the dream was over when Kaner went down, but the rest of the Hawks raised their game and have played very well. I like the look of this ream right now. Whats not to like? Q???

Tony Amonte scored a hat trick. Never seen so many damn hats in my life.
I also had an abnormal fan-boy thing for Ziggy Palffy.

I was also at a St. Patty's Green Hat Trick Game. I want to say both Daze and Steve Sullivan got them that day. I was losing my mind at people not throwing cheap ass green hats on the ice for a DOUBLE HATTRICK game.
