Well, sorry to let you down. I just checked the computer after a long day and sighed, though the out-of-town scoreboard tempered a lot of my annoyance. Jets might keep LA out after all.

Anyway, no, a shutout (the fourth? fifth? sixth against this year?) in Dallas isn't the end of the world, but at this phase of this season, with the race to the bottom being just as intense as the race to the top, you gotta scoop up points against the non-cons. We have Philly, Carolina, and the Beej coming up before an important game in Winnipeg. The Flyers just kinda suck, but the other two are wretched. Win those three (or even take five points out of six) and you can afford to play it close to the vest against the Jets and not wear yourself out against a team fighting like hell to make it in.

EDIT: eight times shut out, more than anyone but Arizona and Buffalo.

The Perds would have to do worse than ten points in nine games for us to pass them, which isn't impossible, but their generosity may have run out.

Shaw is the only one who has the balls to consistently camp in front of the opposing net (I'm looking at you, Bicks...). Problem is that this season he has not been as productive as the last couple, but then again you can say that about a few others. His dumbassedness is not as bad as others in the league, and comes with the role he is playing, but yeah, it can be frustrating sometimes.
