Agreed. Makes sense though since they're playing for guys like this:

I bought both hubcaps (for my old Nissan Altima) & insecticide from that place. (Ceasar Collins' @ 64th & King Drive). I still remember the lady behind the bulletproof glass who sold everything & the sometime drunk guy who would help mix up the insecticide. I never quite got the Aloe Vera, but maybe as a regular, that was just me.

Can you explain to this Arlington Heightsian/Lake Genevan why an exterminator would also sell hubcaps, aloe vera juice, and "the Dick Gregory diet"?

Pledge drive again! They're playing nothing but the hits. I haven't listened to much FMT lately, but is this populist pandering for pledges or indicative of a new direction?

I noticed that this morning. Probably the former rather than the latter.

Out of the pledge drive and they still seem to be a little dumbed down to me. Thankfully, Through the Night with Peter Van de Graaff remains untouched.

Suzanne Nance quit WFMT to take a job in Portland. That sucks. I liked her. Feder's got his claws out on this one:

Quote:
It’s a rare defection from Chicago’s Window to the World Communications fine arts station, where most of the air staff measures its tenure in decades.

Leave us? How dare you!
