That is how Jimmy's going to get the big Sandpiper case ripped from him by Howard. :( :( :(

I like your angle.

I'm leaning toward this.

This is pretty clearly wrong.

McKean's illness is in his head, but he's not faking

He exhibited symptoms while Jimmy was passed out drunk on the couch and while he was alone after grabbing the paper.

It is in his head but his brother didn't learn the long game by chance IMHO. I think the Chuck game has some legs. Todd seemed real innocent in BB. Not saying he is a replication but he clearly isn't a simple case. He is at best a Skylar covering up a murder.

Great episode... I don't want to give spoilers, but you have some great Jimmy storyline and some great Mike storyline... Sets up the season finale with some chances to go in a lot of different ways. I can't imagine the last episode being anything but awesome and leaving me counting down the 10 months until the next season.

OH FUCK I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THIS TONIGHT! what with the herculean efforts around here lately and post-mania-raw i completely spaced on appointment TV.

anyways i cant read the thread cuz i dont wanna spoil but props to W_Z for beating me to the apropos hip hop instrumental reference that the show dropped tonight! =P

nawwww i'm not really sour that W_Z beat me to it last week, moreover i'm glad that someone else here had the same thought/s as me cuz that makes the board that much cooler. but if i had to tender a guess as to what went down tonight, lemme guess that jimmy wanted to do the right thinbg but ended up fucked and mike is taking steps towards becoming a badass. #CallItAHunch

lol - well, i'd say the last scene of the episode should crush any notion that anyone might have about chuck's contributions to the show. you know what they say...you can't hide from the truth because the truth is all there is.

i'm a big fan of mark proksch, so seeing him in this show was nice. kenny k strass was hilarious, seeing this guy get legit work is awesome.

It played out like a superhero origin story. We finally got the scene that pushes Jimmy over the edge.

The funniest thing in that episode was when that goof called Mike "Billy Jackoff".

I laughed at that as well. I winced a little at the "I've fallen and can't get up" line from Jimmy (in court). I thought maybe the writers were trying to hard there??

The previews for next week really didn't show, or indicate, anything. Looks like Jimmy heads back to Cicero.

Was that parking garage also used in BB scenes?? It seemed familiar.

I think that was where Gus parked when Walt was trying to kill him, wasn't it?

yeah...that sounds right. I had a little BB deja vu watching that scene, and couldn't place it.

There's a hospital in town that's half closed and they film in that closed half for a lot of different scenes ever since BB. I never thought about it but you really can't film in a real hospital.

That last scene was so great that I completely forgot about how great everything before it was. Michael McKean is really a great actor. The way his face completely changed when the truth was evident was like Ed said before - it was like a comic book villain admitting the truth.

Best episode of the year. The Mike episode was great but it was so damn dark. This was entertaining as hell.

So does Chuck get written out of the show? Perhaps something happens to him? He was never mentioned in B&B, at least not to my memory. The revelation was a powerful scene. I didnt expect Chuck to hit Jimmy with both barrels.

IMO, no way. This makes this series much clearer to me. I think Chuck becomes the main antagonist for Jimmy now leading to Saul. Saul may even have to use his criminal connections to deal with Chuck in some way if the series gets that dark.

Saul's first advice to Jesse and Walt was to kill Badger. By that time, his soul was gone. I could never see how the Jimmy from this season could get all the way there from dealing with whatever Hamlin was doing. I could maybe see it from getting caught up with Mike, Nacho, etc. But I could definitely see it from going head-to-head with a brother who thinks so little of him after Jimmy seemingly was working so hard to make him proud and do things right.

I've been enjoying this show quite a bit but part of me always thought I was attributing some of my BB love to it because I enjoy these characters so much. That's over now. I truly think this show is great.

I loved Mr. Show, and to see Bob Odenkirk kill it every week in a drama (with some comedic elements) is amazing. He's a great actor. Not just a great comedic actor but a great actor.

As Q said, that scene with Jimmy and Chuck is a total gut punch. To have that much resentment and underlying hostility towards a brother is just...WOW...what a great scene.

I hate to cast doubt because I loved this episode so much.

But, my thought as I was watching it was "Why can't Jimmy just take this to another law firm?" I'm not a lawyer but I could imagine he's correct that if you drop a $20+ million class-action lawsuit on somebody you're probably going to get an office and some participation.

Maybe that's what happens next week. Maybe it wouldn't work because he used HHM resources at one point.

I'm going to try not to think about it too much and just remember that Mike popped a guy in the throat. Cool.

I told you McKean would be awesome

Great episode all around. Howard does a great job in his role, too

And I agree, Chuck will be the main villain for a while.

It was definitely awesome but, man, they reeeeaaally pushed the edge of how far they could go with that Chuck storyline without anything really happening.

It paid off when you think how much you were there with Jimmy taking care of the guy. In a way, at least to me, I felt the betrayal even personally, myself, quite naturally, because I was there going through those scenes and my payoff was for him to dick Jimmy over. I'll give credit again to Ed - that's real super villain stuff.

Well shit, now I'm thinking that Chuck "nonchalantly" had him use his code on purpose just to make sure Jimmy couldn't take this case away.

Damn.

What if Chuck tries to steal the old people clients away by representing that he's Jimmy's brother with the same name and Jimmy decides to change his name in an effort to show the senile that they are different people.

Wasn't his slogan "If you need a will, think McGill" or something like that?

Doc you are waaaaay overthinking it ...and you should

I don't think Chucks printer number was premeditated because it depended on Jimmy's girl saying no.

The lawyer for the old folks home is doing a great job too
