I will be making a manly wager on California Chrome.

Mubtaahij might be a real Derby contender. I think I'm going to try beating him with Golden Barows.

I'm also going to take a shot with Distintiv Passion in the Al Quoz and Coolcowboy in the Golden Shaheen. I think both of them should have the lead. They brought Coolcowboy early and gave him a start on the track. I'm not sure what happened there and why he wasn't on the front but I expect he will be this time. In deep but worth a try.

JORR - headed out of town tomorrow so haven't even looked at it.

Spmack - why the love of the 2 in the La Derby? I like War Story especially off the last work. He's been having trouble getting out of the gate but looks like the horse is ready to roll.

That was my inclination too, but then I started asking myself why he's suddenly going to beat International Star. I'm not sure the extra distance is a plus for War Story any more than it is for International Star. Anyway, I think the horse that should be better than he has been is Keen Ice and he looks like he wants to go longer and longer.

I look at it this way with War Story - he's now on his 6th race. International Star had more experience on him in the first two. The big thing is they have to find a way to not get left at the gate. Also, War Story trip wise ran a much better race in the Risen Star - he was outside the whole race while International Star rode the rail.

Just skimmed over them like Hokko Tarumae

Any thoughts at a price - Ami's Flatter: Second Lasix and blinkers. Big jockey change. Might be slower than everyone else, but does have a 99 in the past.
