As it turns out. Not that he planned it.

Because THE SCORE did nothing. No suspension. No public statement from Mitch and Zim at least saying this does not reflect the thoughts of the SCORE. Not even a bullshit statement saying THE SCORE respects women. Nothing.

Make no mistake about it, Bernstein realizes this. He's actually shocked by the lack of a reaction from his bosses. I mean, if this weren't him, if he was reading this from Deadspin about another person, he'd rip the bosses for the lack of reaction.

This will embolden him more than ever. Yeah, he's sheepish now. You can tell. He's tried to be nice this week. But he'll come back worse than ever in a few weeks when this has totally blown over. He always knew he had power. Now he knows he has more than he even thought.

In other words, this backlash on the internet, while bad for him in general, was good for his standing at THE SCORE. Because of the nothingness form his bosses. Bernstein learned that.

He better enjoy it while it last because he will never get a respectable job anywhere in media. If/when the score ever gets new management he is done.

Wrong.

Dan is the company boy. Doesnt fight about his contract, doesnt use all his vacation days, doesnt bitch about anything, loves seeing the bosses at Temple...and it all came back to him in "no issue"

Dont think Rod isnt going to use it in the next negotiation though!

After listening to Berns all week I think its pretty clear that someone dropped the hammer on him...probably a lof of people including Mrs.Berns. He would be smart to stick with the kinder and gentler persona. I gotta believe that he knows that he could easily end up just like Chet and North.

No way Dan goes to Temple weekly. Do Mitch and Zim live near him anyway? I'd figure they're in the suburbs. Other than the big days, Dan wouldn't go to Temple. I wouldn't think. I think he's only religious for the holidays.

It's like that way with the Catholics. Church is packed on Christmas and Easter. Standing room only. Half full every other week.

Dan is in trouble if a gentile becomes the boss of the SCORE one day. That's for sure. Not cuz the new boss would hate J.E.W.S. But it would be because Dan hates Christians.

I do get what you're saying. Dan is a bitch, but not when it comes to his bosses. He's a soldier for them.

They've joked on the air about Mitch living in Beverly, and Dan actually seems quite observant if you pay attention.

yeah in terms of religion christians are like CIS white hetero males in that it's totally ok to ridicule them for whatever you want. when's the last time you heard someone publicly making fun of a muslim for busting out a little prayer rug-n-step for an impromptu prayer behind the scoreboard in the wrigley bleachers in the middle of a game? is there even a term for muslims that's akin to "bible bouncer" ???

i reckon that jewish people prolly have a colloquial/yiddish term for that used by/for themselves, but to be quite honest nobody from other religions/denominations would dare have one or use the jewish one if they even knew it.

i too believe that dan dots the i's and crosses the t's whether or not he's actually a true believer in terms of religion as a whole, but he's locked into the disco stu paradigm* for the most part which hearkens the "if you pay attention" part.

I think this is probably true. He's going to be more PC than ever now, meaning more preachy, meaning the show will (somehow) be more unlistenable than it is now.

Last week, you said Nort had a bigger audience than Bernstein. Wouldn't that be a good thing?

It's time for you to pick a lane.

You know exactly the analogy that I am referring to.

Happy Easter.
