Personally i think Grit Check should be playing every day in Memphis... he could be useful against MLB lhp, but it would be bad for his development, not to mention Magic Mike has shown me no evidence he understands platoons

I'm gonna watch this all winter. Or at least the month until live action... this ball had some hair on it. Mercy!

Dean Anna or Ty Kelly could beat out the Koz for the backup IF spot. Either way, the guy is better than Dirty Dan Descalso, who is now a Rockie issue. If the Birdos only take 4 OF north, someone else (Anna or Kelly) will take the Grichuk spot.

He's been hitting 2nd between Carpenter and Holliday, from what I've seen.

Jaime throwing, and throwing well. To rely on him is insane, perhaps if he shows enough a trade market to develop? As a fan, I'm ready to see what El Gallo and Marco can do.

I see what you did there.... really excited to see what El Gallo can do. Cards don't need a 5th starter for a while so he's in the pen at the moment. Kid can throw 100 and the movement is absurd

Guessing his twitter feed helped him build the arm strength to be able to throw that kind of gas.

Almost except for that leg swing. I'm with Schilling on that one. I don't understand this fad either. His momentum is taking him towards first base when it should be taking him towards the target. It leads to command problems and possible injury when the arm has to make up for the loss of momentum.

Keyser, I was just watching Latos getting lit up... but I'm also concerned about the Marlin's young arms. Never mind the Jose Fernandez situation.

Henderson Alvarez

Jarred Cosart

Both look "late" to me.

I can't see the picture of Alvarez but Cosarts arm is going to be "late" because of his glove tuck. He tucks the glove and pulls it down at foot strike to get a big shoulder turn and fire his arm thru. That delivery doesn't work if his arm is "on time.' It's a violent delivery at the top.

While I have suspicions about Motte's effectiveness as a relief ace going forward, he is a great guy (and now a Cub concern).
