Animal Mother will miss the remaining regular season games, much to the joy of Hawks fans, and will be ready to return for the post season, much to the aingst of Hawks fans. Most of us realize that this dope was a waste and should be thrown into a chipper shredder and ground up and fed to local pets as an Organic replacement protein.

Some guy named Kyle Baun will make his NHL debut tonight. Nordstrom is back after an upper body injury, which is guess is good, and Timonen will not play which should speed up the defense significantly. I mean, he's smart and good at things but hockey isn't one of them any more. I'm sure he's some kind of leader, or captain of industry or leadership or something but the guy is slower than Dan Quale writing an acceptance speech and has no business bringing his blood clotted ass onto a professional ice surface any more.

Carcillo is still out with a brain injury. Well, an upper body injury but we know he's got brain damage so I'm guessing it's that. Why not?

Shaw is not expected to be disciplined for his on ice stupidity or his hit on Jackman.

As far as I can tell, no goaltenders have been announced so I'm assuming we'll see Crawford tonight.

Playoff Implications:
The Wild can clinch if they win and the Kings lose to Edmonton Wild played and lost last night. I don't know if I'm hoping for a Hawks win cause it should be fun to see Kings fans cry, if they have any.

Yeah I mentioned he's out. I'm happy. Fucking mound hasn't changed in over 45 years. It's not news unless you have bizarre sports thoughts that make no sense. Which of course never happens here. Never.

Don't worry, I solved my SomeGuy/badrogue problem by putting one of them on ignore.

Solid period, but great news, fungible doofus Chris Thorburn puts the Jets up 1-0 in the second!

Hawks seem in charge but not going in. On another note the Pens waking up to get in playoffs.

Seems like one of those nights where we spend it in the opponents zone and lose 1-0 or 2-1.

Is it true that Wild win Kings out? I may have misheard that.

They're lobbing pucks from horrible angles. They'll never score with what they're doing.

Maybe that's right, they are out right now so they can't keep losing while others win.

I missed most of the second but they had a couple good things going in front of the net in the first.

I don't think so, because the Kings can pull ahead of the Jets if they beat the Oilers (haha, if) and the Blues come from behind to beat the Jets. Also, they can tie the Jets in points and win the ROW tiebreak.

Senators just tied the Penguins.

Blues lose to Winnipeg. Kings are closer to missing the playoffs.

The only teams who have been shut out more than the Blackhawks are the 29th and 30th teams in the league.
