It's easier than just waitin' 'round to die!

Our newly worthless penalty kill and Shea Weber will combine to utterly defang the Hawks: with the nuclear warheads Weber fires off, you're almost better off giving up the goal than trying to block it and shattering a bone in the process. We'll have to be on our best behavior.

Rosters appear to be constructed thus:

Filip Forsberg - Mike Ribeiro - Craig Smith
Colin Wilson - Mike Fisher - James Neal
Matt Cullen - Calle Jarnkrok - Committed Indian Darling Viktor Stalberg
Gabriel Bourque - Paul Gaustad - Taylor Beck
Shea Weber - Roman Josi
Seth Jones - Mattias Ekholm
Ryan Ellis - Anton Volchenkov
Pekka Rinne

Saad - Toews - Hossa
Versteeg - Richards - Kane
Bickell - Shaw - Sharp
Nordstrom - Kruger - Teuvo
2 - 7
27 - 4
2 Broken Guys

My prediction for this game is 6-1 Nashville: Forsberg x2, Neal x2, Josi, and Smith with goals for them, Sharp gets our lone goal in garbage time. Hope I'm wrong, but I expect a blowout loss before two to four consecutive Hawks wins.

Here's a lot of info that doesn't tell you anything terribly useful ...

I hope the Blackhawks have a shred of pride and refuse to allow a team with Mike Ribeiro as their 1C to beat them.

Don't they realize once the offseason hits everyone runs off to their lakehouse? You can't really pork your teammate's wife when she's 3,000 miles away.

Hopefully they realize that consequence when deciding whether they should bother to try this series.

I have a similar feeling about tonight CH.

Factor in how Nashville has spent a week hearing how they (as a higher seed) are an underdog and are expected to go quietly in at most 6 games. They are going to come out of the gate flying. If Hawks weather the first period or so at worst down 1 goal, I think they win this series in 5.

I don't think they will.

Hawks in 6.

Every team the Hawks have played in the playoffs the last 5 years have heard that though and it did not help them.
I think it is the Hawks who come out flying tonight. I'll take speed and skill over physicality.

Hawks in 6.

I put the Hawks at a coin flip to win this series. The only reason I even give them a 50% chance is because the Preds have limped into the playoffs to a much greater degree than the Hawks. That being said, whichever team comes out ofthis series has a less than 25% chance to advance beyond round 2. I have no faith in these Hawks. All just my worthless opinion.

Bickell has stated on many occasions he can't play the power forward role for 82 games. Regular season is over so it's time to take off the skirt and play with snarl.

I can count on Shaw to have some real dickhead moments but also great grimey plays. Meanwhile, I have no faith in Versteeg to provide anything positive.

Can I watch the game on NBC Network and avoid Pat Foley or will it be blacked out?

I see Shaw getting ejected the first time someone takes a run at Kane

I can't decide if Hawks win in 5 or 6. Depends on how tonight goes.

It's a shame too because he use to be one of the best in the business when he had to do tv and radio at the same time.

At least we don't have Nashville's guy. He wouldn't say "Best Damn Sports Show Period" when it was on because "damn" was in it, and he calls sudden death overtime "sudden decision" because death is bad. What a weenie.

Nashville stands up and yellows up the arena and sings. Good for them.

I don't have a problem splitting up Keith and Seabrook. But when Keith has to cover for the corpse of Roszival, I start to twitch. Brutal.

Its to the point they should just play with 5 dmen all postseason. Roszival and Runblad are that bad. Hell, ask Vermette to be the #6 dman.

Brutal is the word. He needs to sit all goddamn night and run 5 cause that was awful. You can't do that in the playoffs, even a rookie doesn't do that shit in the playoffs. That was terrible. Fuck that fuckin fuck.

It should be Keith and Seabrook, Hammer and Oduya. Play Timmo and whoever 10 minutes a game.
