OK.
So...
Rozsival was TERRIBLE in the first. Played maybe 10 minutes the rest of the game?
The second goal was all Crawford. What the hell was he doing there behind the net???
The third goal, mostly on Crawford but also (forgive me if memory fails) also on Versteeg?

End Result... I don't need to see another minute from Rozsival, and I think Q has seen enough. He played a few minutes when everyone was gassed in the OT, but almost nothing in the 2nd when the Hawks really came back. Fuck that fuckin fuck.

I think the emergence of successful "lightning in a bottle" goalies like Dubnyk and Hamburgler will make the decision to start Darling in game 2 pretty easy for Q. This season has shown how valuable riding the hot goalie can be. I bet even a set in his ways guy like Q is smart enough to realize that.

Plus one

Gave up a similar goal to Washington in the Winter Classic, if I remember correctly. Went behind the goal line, embarked upon some sort of psychedelic odyssey, and the puck wound up in the vacant net.

Speak for yourself, I was there. One of the first dates with my wife. Booed Bill Wirtz during the entire tribute and moment of silence. Got kicked out by security in the 3rd period for calling the girl sitting behind me a bitch and missed the Kane shootout winner. The wife loved all of it, especially getting escorted out by security.

You must be so proud of yourself.

Versteeg needs to be punted ASAP. Carolina, Florida, Phoenix...somewhere. He provides nothing.

Roszival totaled 19:24 for the game. I hope you are correct, but any time on the ice following the 1st goal is too much. Sadly...we knew this going into the damn game.

But after the top 4 you have to play someone. Kimmo isn't much better. Q's hands are tied on the backend. Never thought I'd say I'd miss Leddy but I do.

The power play (despite last night) shakes its head yes in agreement.

Yeah unless they sweep every series Keith, Seabrook and Hammer are going to be gassed by the time they reach the Cup. Someone has to be able to play some quality minutes on the back end.

So the hawks gave up the same or more to get vermette than they got back from trading Leddy? That looks really bad right now. Is Cumiskey on the playoff roster? I would rather see him than 5 or 32 or even 44.

The defense prospect Ville Pokka they got from Islanders is supposed to eventually be 2nd pairing solid.

Bowman's salary dump trades usually suck so you're probably right UMN.

I don't want to hear any of you Blackhawks fans ever complain about Harrelson's homerism again. I felt like I was listening to a professional wrestling match yesterday

They gave up Dahlbeck and a 1st for Vermette. They got Pokka (D prospect) and the rights to an overseas goalie for Leddy.

Cumiskey is on the playoff roster. Anyone on the team's 75-man reserve list before the trade deadline is eligible.

He's always freaking back there. I'm surprised it doesn't happen one a game or so. Frickin idiot. I think you guys told me it's good and like having another defenseman.

Twelve minor penalties in the game, ten in regulation. There were five in NYI-WSH, and just four in CGY-VAN. (I'm not counting the shitfest in Montreal because there were extenuating circumstances to that one.) Look for some vigorous whistle-swallowing in game 2, with the Perds pushing to get away with as much as they can.

This could be Bickell's theme song

I didn't think he had a bad game last night just need more from him. It's what he's suppose to do so he's gotta do it.

I also hope shaw holds his temper. He was getting beat up in front of the net all night and I think it will be worse on Friday. That 5 on 3 shoulda been a 5 on 2.

I thought he played a nice game.

I'd start Crawford Game 2.

You can't be reduced to fewer than three skaters. You stay at five-on-three but the third penalty clock doesn't start running until the first one ends.

I once heard John Wiedeman, of all people, get tripped up on the third-penalty rule. Sorry for SHARKin' you.

The reason I brought shaw up was I kept thinking Bickell should have been the one standing there.

Settle down Spaulding.

He seems to bounce back well from these kinds of things.
And I'm positive he has a very short leash.

Yes to both.

Of the 3, only one last night I'd consider bad. I agree with the benching for the mythical 'shaking things up'
