The 3rd one was the only one that was possibly acceptable.

No. This is who he is. He makes great saves and let's crappy ones in. I think he anticipates rather than sees the puck. He needs to stay in the net, he gets caught too often out of it. I'm tired of it and he costs too much for what he is.

It's the right move. His teammates played like shit in the first period, and he was among the better goalies in the league this year. He deserves the benefit of the doubt this time, but if he gets lit up again, then we have to commit to our other Indian.

Is it time for the "Crawford Sucks ('til He Doesn't)" parade?

It's right after the "Crawford is great (til he isn't )" parade.

I know. I didn't expect it to be any other way. I kinda feel like if the is even a question something is wrong. It's not the first nor the last. He's just frustrating but I guess that goes along with being a goalie. I think the gtg last year against the Kings in game 7 was the same way. All those great saves to keep em in it then boom. Hopefully rosival going away will help a lot.

Bicks played pretty well last night.

Looking forward to Game 2.
Like many others, agree with starting Crawford, but with a very short leash. I also really, really, really hope to see someone other than Roszival spelling defensive breaks.

Going to be another tough game...a win here nails the coffin shut.

Let's go Hawks!

I don't know about that. If we can break serve, they can, too. The Hawks haven't been world-beaters at home. 3-0 nails the coffin shut, though.

Sounds like Mike Fisher is done with an aggravation of his leg injury. Journeyman good-guy-on-bad-teams Mike Santorelli should slot in. Again, I'm expecting Nashville to molest the Hawks as much as they can to see whether the refs will balance out the whistlefest from Wednesday night. Shea Weber and James Neal taking liberties is something to worry about.

If it went 2-0 or 3-0 the Hawks always dick around and rarely finish in 5.

Here.

Crawford looks very tentative so far.

What did Versteeg allegedly do?

Charging I think.

So does Cro get pulled after the next goal?

Is there ever any doubt that when the Hawks take a stupid or lazy penalty that it's Shaw or Versteeg?

Jeez...I wonder if Crawford is hurt - he doesn't seem to be reacting, and after that last stop he just kind of froze.

The difference between Shaw and Versteeg, though, is that Shaw plays the agitator role, while Versteeg does not. As much as I wish Shaw would get a little wiser with some of his decision-making, with him he does a lot of good things (example: doing what Bickell was paid to do, but hardly ever does). Versteeg just repeatedly does stupid shit while rarely having a positive impact.

Vermette may not be doing what they intended him to do but I see no reason why he can't do what Steeger is supposed to do and he can be trusted to not be a dipshit and a liability.
