Strawman on everyone over celebrating a win vs the Bucks. More coverage than the 98 finals.

Dan should look long and hard to see how Buffone is mourned and ask himself whether his style will be similarly remembered with fondness

Now I have tuned into BB and he is even ruining this...there he goes needing to talk about his family and how they record each others voices to have for years? Not sure if thats bordering on creepy or not, as we do have video these days.

It desperately needed a guy like Doug

I think Dan is milking this to make himself look good.

B&B ever invite Doug on their show? I don't think so. All of the other SCORE shows did. They didn't want the meatball. Like Dolphin said, I don't think Doug liked Dan and I don't think Dan liked Doug. Which is fine. But don't pretend now.

yeah, dont need Bernstein background sighs at old guys calling in who arent the best at communicating, yet they feel the need to express while Dan thinks they are meatballs, but he is still goign to let them talk. What an ass.

Let's not forget the Doug Buffone story where Doug choked Dan and Dan turned blue. The complete story was Doug god fed up with Bernstein calling him dumb and snapped. Lifted Dan up from his chair.

Actually was the first thing I thought of when I tuned in, guess that didnt make the list that Bernstein pissed off one of the nicest guys ever.

I'll say it. Dan's faking the sentimentality and tears because he thinks this will make up for Boobgate. Make it even.

Because he's the one that mocks people who are sad about death. Santo's death was "Let's make fun of the legless bastard" show. Let's not forget that.

santo worked for a competitor. Let's not forget that.

he's being a team player here. he knows which way the wind is blowing and nobody in town goes "i don't wanna hear those two old past it ex-bears bloviating about the team, i like the poignant analysis of howard griffith thank you very much" (ok IMU might, but otherwise...) and since it's a longtime company guy who along with OB they have to be the only people to come back after webio.... yeah there's some beloved status there.

i remember sitting next to intern johnny doingthings (whatever) @ a sox/yankees game during the early onset of the gordon beckham era and talking about how it was a shame that OB and doug went to webio because holy shit that is the very definition of appointment radio and he just shot a wry grin like "well hey you never know never say never cuz something could always be worked out"

Shoulder surgery. Terry has been hinting he'll be going under the knife for some time. Guess it was this past week.

Dan worked dozens of shows over the years with Doug. There is no comparing the two.

Do you know of any affection between Dan and Doug?

Yes, numerous instances of it actually.

Did Bernsie get underneath his skin? Absolutely, but not like the people who hate him here.

Not the time to address the issue

I had no plans to share any of it here.

But I hope we can agree that Beardown's cheap shots here are low class, low rent and a pile of shit.

Even for him.

Beardown is the worst, part infinity. Almost feel compelled to act like BigFan in the B&B section and constantly remind people there's an alternative (putting beardown on ignore...though that doesn't keep from seeing quotes of him)
