I love Toews because the things he does don't always show up in the stat lines. He goes into the corners on offense and defense, working harder than just about everyone on both teams. Check out Keith's goal; yes Hossa screened Rinne, but Toews provided some distraction by skating from behind the net on Rinne's right side. He has not been asked to score as much because of the talent around him for the past 5-6 years; his greatest attribute is defense. Ovechkin and Crosby look great on paper, but Toews makes his team better on the ice because of his two-way ability. He has to be in the top 5-10 all around players in the NHL today.

These stats I have no problem from my #1 Centre because of the other intangibles he brings to the ice and the locker room.

I love Seth Jones, but I just watched Keith's game winning goal again, & he absolutely schools Jones..Duncan has him spinning like a whirling dervish.

I bust CHs balls as much as anyone on his Blackhawks pessimism ( and Toews value) but in my opinion he has legitimate points about this years team. They are far from being as good as past years teams , even last years. They are going to have major problems going forward. Way, way too sloppy defensively, no depth on defense ( you think Rosival is going to look any better against better teams from here on? ) No secondary scoring, weak 3rd and 4th lines. Their experience is their biggest plus. They don't seem to panic much when they get down. Other teams seem to have had time finishing them off . I wouldn't look for them beating Minnesota and while I don't fear St Louis in the playoffs at all because , well, they're St Louis and always seem to find a way to gag in the biggest moments this Blackhawks team is too up and down to have any real confidence in anymore.

All that is true but the constant Sleprocking is a fucking bore and tired routine. When people doing in the Bears section the entire group turns on them and it spills over to other sections. I think it is just people being fed up a tiny bit with the gloom and doom shit. We as fans do not always need to be reminded of our teams short comings, that is the main reason for the Cub/Sox unease, if the guy every once in oh like 100 posts in the section posted something positive about the team he would not be so annoying but I never see him do so. All he does is shit on them. I am also a Cub and Redskin fan, don't fuck with the only ray of sports sunshine I have okay.
It is okay and healthy to be critical but CH goes way overboard. This next series is going to be tough and if they get to the next round even tougher the next one even harder. That is how the playoffs are supposed to be, We know that , fans will look over the next team and realize it is not going to be cake walk but the guy is posting negative shit not even five minutes after the Blackhawks wrap up the series? Come one man he needs to relax and take some laxative and stop being so full of shit .

The Hawks are great at 2 things that most teams arent...playing from behind, and knowing how to close and win games.

No surprise CH is silent about what he actually said about the Avs.

If they have to play from behind next round they're going to be in trouble.

Alright, alright ... I think we're done with giving CH the business ... Time to move on.

Hopefully we will get a few days off before the cynical, pessimistic, the-world-is-coming-to-an-end death march starts up once again.
