I like Beasley too, but when you need everything like the Bears do, you take the best player available. If the Bears would have gone chalk last year, we would have CJ Mosley as our MLB.

They have Jeffery. You can get a WR later. The LB options later aren't as good.

If they get McKinney, I'll be quiet.

I hope White wasn't a combine phenom. Gruden even said he doesn't play as fast as his numbers. Based on the one WVU game I watch each year, Tavon Austin seemed much more explosive than White.

White ran a 4.35 40. Thats fucking fast as hell. Bears finally have a burner at WR, which has been a big weakness for the beloved.

It doesn't seem like he plays that fast.

You don't see him breaking free that often.

Surprised how high he went, thought the Redskins would take Williams or Beasley.

That "take the best player available" philosophy is BS this early in the draft. Filling a position of need with a presumed stud is more important than taking a guy ranked 1 position higher on a draft board.

Greg.....many people said Williams was the best player in this draft. I was praying he was going to fall to the Bears.

We saw Angelo and Emery repeatedly draft for need and ignore chalk...and we all saw where that got the beloved.

Pithy thought...but not true. Besides, the point is where you are drafting and what the options are. There were guys just as highly ranked on many boards that the Bears had a more immediate need for.

Here's my Adam Hoge predict -

They are going to go offensive-heavy - 1, maybe 2, WRs...also each of a RB/QB will all be drafted.

So, my guess-

1-White WR
2-McKinney LB
3-Lockett WR
4-Petty Qb
5-Ladarius Gunter CB
6-Matt Jones RB
7-Jake Smith C

I'm going to revise my 5th round. It seems like Cody Prewitt might still be there. Love that guy going that late.

Yeeouch!

With the exception of 1971, so far looks like a 50/50 coin flip whether the correct pick was made.

Must be chat issues based on the deletions.

For the record, I think sanctioned and non-sanctioned chats are the worst thing to happen to this board.
