I was reading that La'el Collins agent said he would sit out season and reenter draft next year rather than sign as a FA? Why would that be a good choice?

Can't enter next year's draft if he isn't drafted.

If drafted, he can sit out and re-enter next year's draft.

If not drafted? That's it. No more NFL drafts for La'el.

So he shot himself in the foot by opening his mouth.

Signing Collins would make this the kind of game changing draft Pace talked about before last Thursday.

That would put them with three 1 RD grades all at key positions.

Someone on cbfans said the Bears were in his final three choices although I have not seen anything to confirm this.
