Mayweather is clearly winning this fight, but the scores are going to be a total mess I'm sure, particularly from the spread I've been seeing online. Pacquiao doesn't get points by default for coming forward.

Yeah, Mayweather''s winning these rounds. But he wasn't landing anything significant early on and they were giving him rounds

the onyl way mayweather loses this fight is to get knocked out, but that's not happening cuz this aint manny of 5 years ago that could have done that. that's why floyd ducked him so much. $$$MONEY$$$ never loses when it's in the judges hands, and seeing as what's best for business is him to win a "controversial decision" (i.e. manny wins but money gets the decision) so the rematch can be super hyped and added by floyd saying it's his last fight and then the question is "will money go undefeated?" and there you go. the fight sells itself.

but yeah every time i watch a mayweather fight i get excited like YEAH HE MIGHT GET KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT but i forget it's mayweather who is brilliant at business and he doesnt take fights that he can lose (especially cuz if he sandbags it to a judges decision he's always gonna win cuz much like the undertaker's streak for many years his undefeated streak = best for business) and yeah, shit, i feel like a grandpa longing for the days hwen people got knocked out and shit but hey heavyweights i think hold contests on twitter to find the next opponent for the russian brothers and uhhhh.... yeah. gotta appreciate the technical wizardry of mayweather! greatest of all time cuz stephen A smith made faces when people implied otherwise and everyone tells me he's so great and etc etc but yeah... this is boring as shit. fuck this fraud man all he cares about is some superficial streak fortified by him never taking a chance to take on a fight he coudl lose cuz his whole mantra is preferring to not lose as opposed to going out and winning against the odds.

fucking boring. now manny's tired a bit and floyd gets his token jabs and we hear about "TACTICAL AMMUNITION" and rah rah rah you need all that shit cuz mayweather finds new and innovative ways to duck everyone and everything. fuck this gay earth.

yeah but i can see floyd saying the rematch is his last fight and then it'll be hyped up as WILL PACQUIAO GET HIS REVENGE? WILL MAYWEAHTER RETIRE UNDEFEATED?!?!?! and it'll sell.

change the rules that they box til someone gets knocked out and i'll buy teh PPV twice over. his heel persona works on me cuz i wanna see dude get knocked the fuck out, but yeah see? he's talking about retirement so he's gonna do a rematch and then one more big payday on the hype train and that's that. now that he knows there's no chance he'll get knocked out by pacquiao go for the rematch cuz he successfully ducked him when pacquiao could beat him so now he'll retire undefeated, note that's not victorious, cuz the dude is a specialist at not losing cuz at the end of the day not losing > winning.

Manny had Mayweather on the ropes half the rounds. Problem is Manny's giving up a lot of height to Money...so Manny could only work the body.

Floyd's strategy of treating Manny like a lil bro trying to fight up--leading non-stop with his off-hand / left and only deploying the punishing right when he saw an opening--worked in the end.

that's what he does ike. his fights, at least since i started watching them in the 2010s, are always boring as shit cuz it's like other dude always starts off with a chance going after him, he absorbs the few punches that land and then as time goes on he does what they call "parking the bus" in soccer cuz he knows the early rounds are always going to go to him whether he earned them or not, then he gets the later rounds and it's an easy decision because in the later rounds he's got more stamina than the scrubs/past-their-prime guys he's fought over the last 5 years or whatever.

wasn't his last knockout in 2011 or something? 2009? it's been awhile. dude does what he does and he gets paid so respect due but i mean, all teh respect in the world doesnrt mean that i'm entertained. he's fighting a fucking congressman FFS

mayweather was scheduled to win. anything short of a ko by pacio wasnt going to change that. this was as much of a 'sport' as nascar

like i said man, have the anonymous raw GM beckon michael cole to the podium and announce that the rematch is an extreme rules match where they fight til someone gets knocked out and let him defend his undefeated record with honor for once. he's figured out the point system and i'm sure it doesnt hurt that the undefeated thing is the best thing for the boxing business so nobody's gonna award a decision against him so he has to get knocked out, and hey his whole fucking thing is avoiding getting knocked out so he's never gonna lose. it's anticlimactic as hell and every time you watch you hope for something great, like maybe even one of the scrubs/past-it dudes he fights pushes the accelerator too much in the late rounds after they're tired out trying to hit him and floyd knocks dude the fucked out.... but floyd wont risk that because he knows he's got the fight on points so really whats the point?

Only way to get Mayweather to actually fight is to put him in a ring with a woman.

I didn't see it, and I tried to avoid it until I accidentally clicked on my ESPN tab and saw the result.
Floyd is a Teflon Don. Protected by Vegas. A woman beater. And a MOTHERFUCKING piece of shit.
I kinda knew Manny wouldn't win (ermmmmmmmmmm, pay off the judges)...........
And I haven't seen the fight yet, but godadamn, between Barry Bonds, Alexis (Pink Lipstick) Rodriguez, and Fuck Mayweather Jr.,

Can I get a text message when Mayweather lands a power punch?

Mayweather is the greatest of all time in not getting hit very much.

I thought they only way Manny wins is by TKO. If it goes to the judges, forget it, he's screwed, regardless if he dominates the fight or not.

As for Floyd, his next fight is his last fight? WTF , you're going to stop at 49-0 and not break the record? Just fight 2 more chumps, get the record, and retire.

5 attempts by Pacquiao, 1 touch has minimal impact....leaves himself open

Floyd lands 1 maybe 2 or 3 and each punch sends Pacman back with impact seen in slow motion.

The numbers prove it w/ Pacman landing less than 10% of his punches...and if you think or saw something differrent you watched another fight,,,

I dont love the guy, I dont support the guy, but I bet on the guy....nice W for Floyd

Mayweather won the fight. I don't think it was as one-sided as some have said. Paq just doesn't have the quickness and energy that he did 6 or 7 years ago.

My takeaway is that Mayweather is a very smart businessman. I'm quite sure Mayweather loses a fight back then. Paq still staggered him back a handful of times. 5 years ago Paq would have been coming at him from 12 different directions. Mayweather would have fought the exact same way. It wouldn't have worked back then.

The way Mayweather spends I have a hard time believing that he's going to pass up $250 million.

Maybe he will.

It was a boring, lethargic fight.

Paq took it to him in the beginning but backed off and just seemed to let Floyd do his thing before resuming the flurries.

But, in the end, this was two guys who probably didn't even really want to fight each other.....

Agree also with Paw 5 years ago having a better shot at it, but of course there was more on the line then so it's only fitting that the fight wouldn't take place. Too many titles and too few meaningful fights. Not shocking why boxing is dead.
