Well, I was more  about the offensive effortt in the Wild zone, but yeah - Crow's not looked great. Wonder if what Doc was saying back in the first about Crawford being down for awhile after a save may have some substance to it after all...

No team in the NHL answers the bell and knows how to close, finish and win games like the Hawks.

Hawks dominated 2 of the 3 periods.

I am not sure I would go with dominated 2 periods. They definitely dominated the first. But they did enough to win in the 3rd

Dominated the first, shat the bed in the second, edged out the third. That sound right?

Hawks were great defensively in the 3rd. They were in complete control and did everything right, except for 1 ragged line change.

Cool pic. And what a mighty playoff beard on Mirotic.

I know yous act like a bunch of little girls. I was in the bar going all through the game not worried , not worried. Because with this team as long as they are within a goal with 8 min in period three they have a chance. No reason to get all Chicken Little.
It is game one guys. Did you notice the little stat they posted at the end of the game not at the start but at the end. Minn is 0-9 in playoff games at the UC. The trend is your friend. Respect the streak but do not abuse it. I think we should be more upset at NBCSN for the delay in getting the game on TV. We missed the first goal , then they switched us to a channel that most cable subcribers in Chicago do not have because Comcrap does not carry NHL correct? Then they had the gall to put on the crawl at the bottom of the NHL feed that this was"Bonus" coverage? Bullshit, in home market we should have been on main feed and the OT should have been on the alt channel. The entire Chicagoland area should be bombarding NBC tomorrow, they do this to us all the fucking time, same thing is going to happen Sunday.

Comcast subscribers had the game on NBCSN because headends in the Chicago viewing area were given the Hawks feed. Comcast certainly does carry the NHL Network, which carried Bolts-Habs in Chicago. Satellite subscribers had it the other way around.

Told you before and I'll tell you again, nothing in hockey worse than the early 3 goal lead. We've already seen it rear its ugly head twice this post season. Thankfully we got a lucky goal to get the lead back and held on for dear life.

Had awesome seats in the Comcast suite, right next to the hawks brass. I was sitting 5 feet from Scotty Bowman the whole game. And Handzus!

Yea totally. Except for that game 7 last year where the Hawks were up 2-0 in the first and 4-3 heading into the 3rd.

Closed that game right up. Stupid pudwhack

I'll say an 1 goal lead is worse. Dumbshit

Wow he looks so excited in the picture. Maybe allow him to enjoy the hockey game instead of assaulting him for a picture ya homo.

I'd look for Minnesota to come out playing as conservatively as possible this time. Obviously, the speed game didn't work for them. God forbid Crawford gives one up early; they'll squat on a one-goal lead all night if they have to. Gotta strike first and early again before they can get into a trap/shell and stay there.

Justin Fontaine is injured and out for tonight's game!

Image

Erik Haula is in.

Image

But now I guess Yeo doesn't like Haula anymore so it might be forgettable plug Ryan Carter instead!

Image

But they could also go with only-good-in-the-playoffs Sean Bergenheim.

Jordan Schroeder contains potassium benzoate.

Is he hurt? I don't think so. Ergo, he will play, probably until he incontrovertibly costs us a win. Turtle race!

Yeah. It's almost like they don't want their fans to watch these games.

This is bullshit. You mean to tell me with the NHL's partnership with NBC-owned channels, it can't be shown on another channel like ABC/ESPN does with the NBA playoffs? Imagine if the game went to overtime and Chicago fans could miss at least a period.
