As good as the Hawks were, they could be up 2 or 3-0, and not becuase of Dubnyk.

Wild seemed to be deflated since the goal - not much jump.

Great first period. Didn't get overwhelmed, killed a penalty, scored a power-play goal = punching 18,000 fans in the collective dong.

Maybe my memory is bad. But I don't think they played a better 7 straight periods in the 2 Stanley Cup runs in any of those playoff rounds.

Or maybe I'm wrong.

Minnesota hockey fans are so damn insufferable...they're like St Louis baseball fans.

I know at least 10 Hawk fans that made the trip. Judging from their FB posts there is a parking lot full of Hawk fans there that were tailgating.

Great period.

What the Hawks do with the puck flip is something I see the rest of the league stealing at some point. Hammer started doing it on a regular basis I want to say last season but now not only are we seeing pretty much the entire roster doing it but it's not just to clear the zone. The Hawks have gotten some nice chances from it as of late because you bypass their forwards defending and leave their d to try to settle down a hopping puck. It's a great weapon they've added.

Seems to work against a neutral zone trapping team if you can loft over the pinching defender. Not sure it would work well against a speedier defense but it's going well today.

Yeah, same self-satisfied fixation on how well-mannered and intelligent they are. The difference is that Cardinals fans go back to being boorish hilljacks when they're away from the game. Minnesotans are just like that about everything because that's how Minnesota is. I love them for it, though. Something to aspire to.

Yeah but against a speedier team like the Pens, Caps and Rangers it doesn't matter. They play our game where we can do our normal play making. Trapping blows and the Devils should be kicked out for starting it.

The Canadiens started it, the Devils perfected it.

At least we've seen the last of Tortorella and his six-goalie shit.

No, it was the Habs. Jacques Lemaire and Larry Robinson brought it with them.

I agree with this. They've been awesome plus let's face it , they're due to finally have a good road game 3 and win one.

Wild are now kitchen-sinking it, with nothing to show for it ...yet. Hawks need to take the game back now.

I hate when hockey PA announcers think they are doing an NBA game.

Weathered the storm. I am liking how Crow kept the Wild out of the net, but the Hawk have to get that next goal.

Yeah, Crawford looked great. Gotta be frustrating for the Wild, they're pulling out all the stops here.

Hey, our old pal Brandon Bollig put the Flames up 1-0! Go Flames Go!

EDIT: seriously Anaheim tied it already goddammit
