It's the NFL not the FEDS. You don't have to give them your phone. You just say "No" when they ask. Just tell them you did nothing wrong and that your texts are personal and private and you're not getting it.

Tom Brady told them to "Fuck Off" when they asked for his phone.

They would have had nothing without those texts.

Because they were paid handsomely and quietly to do so to deflect blame ... I would suggest that the report, by the end, puts the majority of the 'blame' on John Jastremski and Jim McNally ... never mind the terribly peculiar instance of Walt Anderson being unable to account for the footballs for the first time in his nineteen year career.

That would make sense if all of the texts didn't indict Tom Brady. But some did. So Brady is gonna get nailed.

But his daddy said it was wrong, he didn't do anything.

I wonder what Brady is gonna do when he eventually talks. Double down on his innocence or come clean. He'll probably double down.

The only reason they would go after Brady is if they wanted to punish Kraft. That said, like him or not, his team makes money for him and everyone that plays him, so I cannot logically accept that all the owners are going to push to alienate Bob Kraft ... you don't butcher your own in times of plenty.

Or why didn't they delete all of the texts regarding deflategate?

And it doesn't make sense that they were paid to be the fall guys. Because they denied it to the investigators. If they did get paid, they would have been instructed to say they did it and acted alone. That's not what happened.

There's nothing to suggest that his tweets weren't asking to be on the low-end of legal. Ergo, they're not gonna touch a bona fide star based on one slanted (right or wrong) reading of a few tweets.

Then when you put up those tweets against things like below, it's readily apparent they have no inarguable factual grounds to even think about giving Tom a slap on the peepee, never mind actually doing it ... something may well have happened, but there is zero proof about who did or didn't know what.

I think Roger will give Brady 4 games and it will go down to 2 games on appeal.

People say "Does Roger really want to suspend the NFL's golden boy?"

But Roger's like "We're the NFL. I can do this and the NFL won't miss a beat cuz we're the god damn NFL."

Do you think there will be one less viewer on opening night when it's steelers and patriots if Brady isn't playing? No. They'll still get their 35 million viewers for that Thursday nighter.

Plus it sends the ultimate message. If Roger can wang whip the golden boy, then nobody is safe.

It sends the same message to the other owners as well. Pretty sure they aren't terribly interested in that type of message.

Depends on what they make every time the Pats win a super bowl. Maybe they'd prefer a NYC team to win, or Dallas

PFT has this article saying that Brady not giving them his phone goes to not cooperating with the investigation. So that will be part of determining his punishment.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/05/07/nflpa-didnt-advise-or-represent-brady-in-wells-investigation/

If that's the case and I'm Brady, I'll sue the damn NFL.

Nobody has the right to your phone. I know he didn't give it to them to hide deflategate info. That's understood. But it's still his phone. What if he were innocent and had personal stuff on there. Why would you give it to NFL people? What if he has naked pics of his wife? Or naked pictures of other super models that aren't his wife.

There is no way that a non law enforcement investigation can force you to give them your phone and use it against you if you don't. That has to be against the law.

I believe BD is actually correct now. They need a warrant to search your phone.

If any of those ballboys want to actually ever work in the NFL, saying nothing would have been the best thing to do...take a lesson from Danny Noonan, take the blame for the higher ups, they know you got their back and like Danny...you to will be rewarded ! Caddy Scholarship!?

What's with the delay in announcing the penalty? Roger has had 5 days. He should know what he wants to do. He's taken the temperature on the reaction. It's mixed.

They waited 5 months to announce the report when it was clearly done a long time ago.

Just hit him him with 4 games, Roger. Reduce it to 2 on appeal. Do it and get this over with.

The delay strategy is pointless.

He is busy trying to figure out how many hot dogs the New Jersey governor ate for $82,000.00.

Their phones were paid for by the Patriots therefore property of the Patriots which means the NFL had access to the text. Even if you delete they can get printouts.

Yeah, that's what I heard, the locker room staff's phones were team issued/property.

Tom Brady's phone was/is his own personal phone.

Bovada has the over/under at 3.5 games.
