That's exactly what the Rangers did under Torts. What goes around comes around. Doesn't bode well for a Chicago-Washington Final, though, seeing as that's how the Coyotes beat us.

Yea, I hate Barry Trotz's style of Hockey. It's brutal to watch.

Yea, I hate a full collapse defense like Torts ran.

I hated that gutless shell shit from Dave Tippett, but at least it made sense because his best forwards were Radim Vrbata and a 40-year-old Ray Whitney. Torts was doing that shit with players who were actually good. Between that and his Douchebag World Tour with Vancouver where he tried to break into the Flames' dressing room to fight people, ugh, what a loathsome human.

This Tampa thing...just may be a significant worry for the Hawks.

Can sure as shit score/outscore the Hawks and Bishop perfectly capable of stealing a series.

Habs just hung five on the Bolts, shutting them out, and they're not through the second yet. Here's to at least making this sporting.

Good to see Montreal show up for a game and knock Bishop out.

Rangers score to tie it at 1 with 1:41 in the 3rd. I really really dislike Trotz and the Caps.

That Corey Perry might be the best player in the world right now makes me puke.

2-1 Rangers now. Rangers dominating, but they keep whiffing on easy chances.

3-1 Rangers now, Nash waits out Holtby and gets him on the ice before pulling the trigger

Fugg, this kid's like Pavel Datsyuk with the stick + Ovechkin's size + the speed of a Valteri Flippula:

Had a feeling all this HOLTBEAST circlejerking was premature. Stand tall in an elimination game, dickweed.

EDIT: 4-1

Any point in playing game 7? Capitals already hold the NHL record for choking away 3-1 series leads.

The NHL won't start the third round before the second is finished, so R3G1 shouldn't be any sooner than Thursday night.

Lightning coming out of the East. Refs really put their thumb on the scale for the Habs that last game, 5 PP's for Montreal to only 2 for TB. And no 3rd period PP's for TB in a close game but MTL still got a 3rd period PP.

Ovechkin lays a hard check on McDonagh, which McDonagh made worse by pirouetting into it.

McDonagh would be a big loss for the Rangers. Leads their d-men in TOI.

Edit: McDonagh's back on the ice. At least he tried a shift. Back on the bench now.

Hoping the Rangers can hang on and get this series back to NY. I want to see some original 6 teams move on, not these fake Hockey cities like Washington and Tampa Bay.
