No, I am not going to tell you he is what he was, but the last 3 minutes of that game he took lebron to the hoop and got bye him. The reverse layup, the fadeaway, both actually good shots....even though they didnt go in, he didnt just drive in and throw it up.

I think Rose got back a ton of confidence in those last few minutes...and the lucky shot added to it....

He's lost that amazing vertical leap that he once had. No more awesome dunks. But he can still be an all star. Plenty of all star point guards couldn't dunk. Rose still can. Just won't do it as much and his chin no longer hits the rim.

But he can beat you off the dribble. He's still quick enough to be a top 5 point guard.

i think hell get his jumps back this offseason. it happens to players all the time after injury... his legs arent fully recovered yet

Yeah. He's just a guy. He's basically a journeyman-level player. A MLE-type at best. Not only can he not be your best player, it's arguable whether he can be your starting PG.

he did a little bit. its no different then when i jog all summer. by the end i just kinda hit a wall. after a winter of hibernation i take a month in the spring to pick back up to speed and then im in better shape than i was the year before.

he now needs to rest for a few months. his body needs to recover from the season. it will help his hops and help his shooting, i really believe that. we saw this year he DOES have spurts where he can still do what he used to do, thats why im giving him an offseason to fully recovery from both of his injuries.

mind you he also had surgery right before the playoffs. i thought he played every bit as good as i would have thought.

but if he sucks next year then he just sucks. and if he gets injured next year than hes toast.
