I know some here think NAS is totally gone, he isn't, as I did watch the Mayweather fight with him at the Trophy Room, with JORR as well.

Anyways, NAS can confirm my story of shooting a 3 pointer at the UC.

I am not telling you I can shoot better than 20% from 3, but I an tell you I could go 95% or better in most gyms in hitting the rim from 3....my 3 pointer at the UC was targeted at the rim, nothing more, I hit the backboard and it goes in. I dont call backboard and I keep my mouth shut for 20 mins until the high fives are over.

Last nights shot by D Rose, was vintage UC and he knows it. have you ever seen D Rose shoot a 3 off the board? he was aiming , just like 99% of his 3's...

That was his one handed running floater shot from 3, if you think thats the same shot, I will be happy to take you 1 on 1 and teach you the difference.

Jimmy is the only guy to really use the backboard for perimeter shots....

Pippen would shoot 3's off the board, from the wings

Rose's shot was luck..plain an simple these dolts claiming he's back and he can finish...how quick you forget the Buck Series

It was luck, but I still think in his mnd the shot was pictured going right in, no backboard....unlike the shot Sini posted, which was an intentional use of the board when he or anyone shoots like that one handed, you can adjust mid shot to go higher on the arch, or push quicker to aim for the board as a defender is coming at you....

but yes, it was luck

When we played a high school game there a few years ago on a Saturday morning I got to take some shots. Completely air balled the first three. Eventually made a couple. The background with the empty seats threw me off.

Yup! Mine was the opposite of you...way too much....but it is one of the hardest shots to take...did you also feel the bounce in the floor and how you stopped on a dime on a perfect NBA floor.

I think it was a drifting away from the basket from deep shot where he gave the it more to go board because he knew he wouldn't be able to put any touch on it.

Perhaps he may well could ... the actual interesting part is who in the living hell would ever ask him to.

hey i never said it was the same shot, i only responded to your hypothetical/ish "have you ever seen derrick put in a 3 off of the glass before" thing. i didnt know we were gonna have to match up the exact same type of shot.

i dont think you'd have anything to teach me in terms of 1 on 1. i bet if i went up to my local court it'd be like "oh shit it's him." one of the more endearing basketball nicknames i picked up over the years was "white dude with a shot" so i'm fairly certain i could summarily dispatch you in that despite giving up the size and all that.

What am I 10 years older?, bad knees and I still say you might not even score in a game to 10, so take out your notepad.

hey you're the one who threw it out there.... and what am i? i have to be in worse shape than you, i'm me.... i'm also me, and i'm me. so that means yeah easy shutout for you. shit should i even practice for this or just accept my humbling willy nilly? i figure we have to do this outdoors right, or are we going to find an open gym night somewhere and get it done?

like i said i'm giving up size and the fact that god clearly likes you more than me given where we are in our lives. that should cover 10 years and the knees, right?

I noticed the floor looked a lot more faded in person than on tv. But was a nice surface. The chairs were really nice too.
