He's been excellent tonight. Hopefully we can push a few runs across against this Met pen and get this game.

How did Fowler not think that throw was getting cut off?

Did Bryant actually lay off a "Sosa Strikeout Slider" there? Wow.

Close game...prevent the run if possible. I assumed Addy had it easy the entire time, but, who knows? I like trying to get to second there.

So...good thinking but bad decision.

I dont like the decision to take out Rizzo there.

But seeing him get to 3rd on that hit is nice.

While we're at it... nice call by Maddon to pinch run... playing for the win, no worries about not having Rizzo's bat in Extras... paid off by getting a runner on 3rd with no outs.

Have to trust the best manager in baseball.

edit: Yes. Trust Szczur to run the bases and trust Starlin to make contact on the hit and run. I love it.

Before there was a runner on 3rd I didn't like it either but the move paid off.

You want to strike Soler out? Throw a 61 foot pitch!

Soler is making up for not swinging at any pitches out of the zone all Spring Training.

Nice win. A very difficult but good call from Maddon to pinch run his most trusted slugger paid off.

I think Rizzo runs fairly well, but not sure he goes 1st to 3rd there as Szczur did, so Maddens move paid off. Good patience by Coghlan for the walk. Big hit by Castro. Great start by Hammel. Nice job by Rondon too, after allowing the leadoff man to reach. Big win!

Great win last night. I think they can compete for the division if they move Russell to short and get rid of Castro for some pitching. His head is just not in the game at times. I blame him (mostly) for letting Murphy steal third...he should be the field general and aware of what is happening.

You're reaching. Poorly.

It was Hammel's fault, primarily, with a bit of Bryant.

Hammel's back was to second as he was walking back to the mound. Castro's back was to the infield for no reason whatsoever. I do think Bryant's inexperience added a little to Murphy's decision (or that of the 3B coach) to take off.

No time was called. Pay attention. Especially the guy that has the damn ball. Bryant was clearly nowhere near third either. If Hammel doesn't want to pay attention walking back to the mound, he could have called time.
