Oh they definitely are elite.

Ill agree with Scorehead here. Not one GM would choose 2 guys who are 3 years older, equally talented( at best), and less accomplished over Toews and Kane. Would you swap them out right now if you could?

Less accomplished is a huge understatement.

I would say that Getzlaf has more talent than Toews, but to say he has a shitty attitude would be an understatement; he's way too prone to losing his shit if things don't go his way. Toews can definitely be pouty, but never goes off the deep end. That being said, with the way the NHL is headed toward dull north-south physicality, you still might be better off with Getzlaf at 8.25 than Toews at 10.5, age difference notwithstanding.

I would take Kane over Perry.

But speed & talent almost always beat physicality. The tough guy Preds, Blues, & Wild agree.

I hope they beat physicality this series. I hate the Ducks a lot. I want to see their bullshit bottom six get ripped to shreds.

Speaking of your avatar, do you think Quenneville retires if we win all 16 this spring? I think he has one year left on his deal, and he's definitely done after that, but I could see him wanting to go out on top and not have to deal with another capocalypse. Q has been working in professional hockey every year since 1978 as a player, player-coach, assistant coach, or head coach. It's a Hall of Fame career already.

Already on the second page 2 days before the series even starts, great scheduling NHL, not that they had much choice.

Hawks can't let this team sit in front of the net. I hope Shaw and Bickell come up big in this series moving people out.

I hate Kesler.

Q and Bowman have been scouting Stephen Johns in the Rockford-Grand Rapids series. The Sword of Damocles is hanging over Run-B.A.D.

Shaw has the willingness to do it but not the body, Bickell isn't interested in doing it as usual.

It's not the winger's job to clear our net.

Blacks by 5. Kane nets multiple goals. Ducks get roasted.

So the mayors have their standard bets going...I'm guessing if the Hawks win, the Anaheim mayor will be sending measals blankets from Disneyland.

Well, Runblad looked a little clownish on that one.

Hawks controlled play for most of the period, bad turnover, Rundblad fell over, goal against. Meh.

Scores in the SCF. Now, they just have to get there first.

He sounds like a little kid doing an announcer impression. The worst part is that he's still more tolerable than Emrick.

Well, except for the score, I like what I've seen from 3:00 on.
