Holy crap that game went till 1:30am? I went to bed and it was 3-3 in the 5th inning. It doesn't get any easier with LSU tonight.

The Illini extended their winning streak to 27 games with another come from behind win. Duchene wasn't sharp but he still only gave up 2 runs in 6.2 innings. Tyler Jay came in and slammed the door in the 9th. That Dude is unhittable.

Yes, Benintendi hit a bomb off of the scoreboard in the 8th to put us down by 1 and Wernes hit a 2 run bomb in the 9th to put them ahead.

Nice to see Benintendi get back on track. Wernes can play a hell of a third base but damn that swing is fugly. He also has an unfortunate case of punch me face. I'm also ready for the Bernal/McAffe era to be over.

Yes he is. Would you like to see your Brew Crew pop him at #15?

Is he draft eligible this year, and if so, hell yes? I think he will be on the express train to the big leagues.

He's a junior so he's draft eligible. Express train to the big leagues as a reliever? Do you want them using the 15th pick on a relief pitcher?

I think he can be a starter, are they thinking he can't?

There are serious questions. He's 5'11" 190 with a max effort delivery. When you watch him tonight ask yourself if you think that frame and that delivery can hold up for 30+ major league starts and 180+ major league innings.

With all of the arm injuries, how is there any exact science to predict who can hold up? I trust what I see with my eyes and would have no problem putting him in my starting rotation.

It's far from an exact science. All you can do is look at the historical evidence and weigh the risk factor. I trust my eyes too but the risk factor is too high for me. You go all in on your guy. I love it. I hope they get him.

They are as Missouri State shares their stadium with a Minor League team and they are at home. Huge Break!!!

Also, really enjoyed the Bases Loaded coverage, it was the Red Zone channel for those us that love college baseall.

This has been a really good regional and the Bases Loaded coverage has been fantastic. The Cal vs Texas A&M, Maryland vs UCLA and NC State vs TCU matchups are all going to be great games. Illinois vs Wright St is on ESPN3 at 1pm. Wright St is going to get a heavy dose of Tyler Jay. Have fun with that.

I was glad to see Wright St. and the Horizon League win a game. The Texas A&M/Cal games have been crazy good, and I love Cal's catcher with his pudginess and porn star stache. I just saw the top or one of the Top 2017 players out of here signed with TCU over the weekend.

I saw that too. TCU has a nice pipeline going up here. Their starter tonight (Alex Young) is from Carmel HS and their catcher (Evan Skoug) is from Libertyville HS. They also have a 2016 and a 2017 recruit from Lake Forest HS.

The Super Regionals are set and there are some fantastic matchups. Teams will play a best of three series starting Friday/Saturday. Vandy vs Illinois will be on ESPNU Saturday night at 7PM. Carson Fulmer vs Kevin Duchene will be an outstanding matchup. Contrasting styles with similar results.

Maryland at Virginia

Missouri State at Arkansas

Florida State at Florida

VCU at Miami

Louisiana-Lafayette at LSU

Texas A&M at TCU

Cal-State Fullerton at Louisville

Vanderbilt at Illinois

Maryland's centerfielder made a unbelievable throw on a guy trying to tag from 3rd last night, I thought he had no chance.

You stayed up later than me. I can't believe Maryland won that regional. They were playing like ass a month or so ago. TCU was a crazy game too. Alex Box Stadium is going to be rockin this weekend. Them Cajuns are crazy.

That's a tough matchup but I think your Hogs can win it. MSU's Friday guy Jon Harris is pretty good and so is their centerfielder Tate Matheny. Killian is the key. He has to be better and pitch deeper into the game than he did last week.

They have Harris and one other guy I can't think of his name that are really good starting pitchers.

Matt Hall. He's a touch and feel lefty. Not much of a pro guy but a real good college pitcher. Your Hogs have their work cut out for them but I think they can win it.
