Looking bleak but it's not over. Ducks are the better team but the Kings were better than us last year and we took it to a Game 7 OT. I agree that was a fireable offense for Q last night. Most overrated coach in the league anyways.

I really have no idea for the change in lineup. Why mess with anyone if it was not going to be Bickell? I have to have faith that there was some physical issue we do not know about or it really was idiotic.

Vermette was pouty about having to play for the Blackhawks from the get-go but still gave us a good effort most nights. Scratching him for the captain of the Rockford IceHogs (which, by the way, I always took as a not-so-subtle signal from Bowman that he wanted the guy down there captaining the farm team full-time and not bringing his distinctive brand of NOTHING to the Hawks) isn't going to bring out his best. But hey, Q knows how to run a dressing room! Gotta get Steeger in there!

Still should of been 1-1 going into OT. Inexcusable goal by Crawford on the 2nd one. Ducks didn't even really celebrate just smirked like "wow that was easy".

You can't play that game because then it really should have been going into OT Game 3 with the Hawks down 2-0 in the series with out unreal Crow was in Game 2.He lost the puck, it happens.

The series should be 3-0 Ducks. If one of those crossbar shots is off by an inch, and if the Ducks don't take that late DOGPOG penalty in Game 3 with Calgary, they're 11-0 in the postseason.

You can't lose the puck there as an NHL goaltender. You pretty much never see goalies lose the puck on plays like that.

Move opponents from in front of Crawford.

This sounds about right to me, but please bear in mind that I don't know anything about hockey and am not even sure if I like the sport.

That said, the Hawks are getting dominated. The Ducks are way quicker to the puck, seem to have possession for 60-70% of just about any period, and consequently have generated way more quality scoring opportunities than the Hawks.

On another note, why the hell would you sit that Teuvo guy? He's really explosive and seems to be one of a handful of Hawks who's playing really well right now.

I don't know. I just don't know. There's no explanation and no excuse. Teuvo's been great.

In terms of possesion and overall 'pucks toward net' Hawks controlled play last night. Often though the attempt were either A) blocked or B) from not prime scoring areas.

There is no defense to sit TT and Vermette. None. Zero.

The Hawks really possessed the puck more last night? Wow, that surprises me. I wasn't able to watch the whole game, though.

I get what you are saying about the higher quality of Anaheim's offensive possessions. They look much sharper and more precise on offense than the Hawks do.

If you've got some downtime at work today,

http://war-on-ice.com/game1.html?season ... 4201530323

Both the Event Tables and Event Charts are interesting.

Maybe controlled is slightly too strong of a word, but certainly had more shots towards the net than the Ducks. More quantity a lot less quality.

I had to be at work early so I DVR'd the game. I don't care if I find out the score, but I generally enjoy going back and watching the playoff games even when I already know the outcome. Is it even worth it to watch yesterday's game or just hope they put up a better showing tomorrow evening?

Read Jay Zawaski's last 8-10 tweets and you'll have your answer.

Coaching loss.

TVR skated this morning it appears. I can't imagine he actually plays this series.

He was pretty not good in Rockford during his rehab stints and unless he can make Q get out of his own damn way, it matters not

Thank goodness

Quote:
Antoine Vermette and Teuvo Teravainen will be back in the lineup, as expected, when the Blackhawks host the Anaheim Ducks in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals tonight.

Vermette and Teravainen were benched in Game 3 but coach Joel Quenneville said on Friday that the two “could” play in tonight’s game. The two were in their usual spots in this morning’s line rushes, on the third line with Patrick Sharp.

Well, I guess this is as much of a must win game as any.

Yup. They lose this one, then they are pretty much toast.

In any event, I am ready to go, and plan to be roaring hammered by the time it's over

I pretty much dislike Doc but he is far more welcome thank Kenny Albert of the "I'M KENNY ALBERT, I'M KENNY ALBERT" clan.
