Hawk will miss the upcoming road trip due to a minor procedure.....

His spot will be filled by Chuck Swirsky on the broadcasts.

Well the broadcast will not suffer much. They need to teach Swirsky how to do the thirty-two seconds of dead air bit when the Sox are sucking pond water. Should be done in the first inning or so as per recent games.

No such thing as a minor procedure.

This puts Bernstein in a quandary, as he has decided to be anti-Hawk, and while The Swirsk will probably do a good enough job filling in (better than Steve Stone fumbling through pxp), he's too Christian for Dan to say anything nice about.

Interesting. Something to look at for the bigger picture.

Swirsky does the Bulls, Jerry's other team. Keep this in mind. He might be the replacement once Hawk leaves. Guessing there might be a relationship between Jerry and Swirsk.

Rongey was on the pay no mind list for this chance. He should have asked. Guessing he didn't.

These are gonna be the greatest 11 days in Steve Stone's White Sox life. He's had subs before, but sometimes Stone had to do the play by play.

Now they have a real play by play guy and Stone doesn't have to be afraid to say stuff like he is with Hawk.

You're gonna notice it to. You'll hear the joy in Stone's voice.
