This means something. Not subbing. He's an addition today.

So Finfer is gonna be added to the show permanently eventually. They're gonna do the 3 man thing to go after Goff and Spiegel.

I had a feeling that this was the endgame when Finfer started subbing. Smart move if they do it permanently, Finfer could bring a nice balance to the show.

I like Finji a lot. I like Jurko & Carmen as well. Should be a good show.

Marshall just said five times how much he loves Tom Brady. I'm sure that's just what Jets fans want to hear

It is bizarre how the show is called “Carmen & Jurko” but Finfer is continuing to guest as a third co-host with Carmen and Jurko. It seems evident that the station management is not satisfied with the show and is planning some kind of programming change.

It is kind of weird. Jurko and Carm have to take it as "Management thinks we suck." How else would you take it when, of all people, they feel Ben Finfer is what the show needs.

I think W_Z said it best. Carm and Jurko just don't have any chemistry. I catch them at lunch every now and then. Jurko says all of the controversial things and/or dirty jokes and Carm gets all scared/nervous and quickly tries to change the subject to something more safe, simple and pleasant.

Jurko and Finfer sound good together. Not sure what Carm's role is.

When you listen to Carm you'd think he's in his 70s. What is he? 37 or 38. They have a segment where they read birthdays.

Isn't that what WGN radio was in the 80s and 90s. Where you read birthdays to the elderly audience.

Carm: Hey Jurko, what do ya know, Golly Gee, Robert DiNero is 70.

Jurko: I remember that one movie where he was banging that broad...Glorious. What a scene. What an actor.

Carm:  Moving on...Betty White turns 85 today. What a sweet lady. She's America's grandmother, wouldn't you agree, Jurko?

Jurko: I wonder if Robert DiNero banged her back in the day.

Carm:  We have to take a break!!!!!

Jurko: Relax, Carm!!!!

Carm: That concludes today's birthdays. We'll be right back to talk about baking cookies.

Jurko: I'll tell you what, if I was around in the 1950s, the Good Kid would have tossed one into what's now "America's favorite Grandmother".

Carm:  For the love of God, send it to break producers!!!!!!

Jurko:  Send it to break before Carm has a heart attack. Good God. Don't worry, Carm. I'll talk baking cookies with our all male demo when we come back.

So Finfer goes from a station nobody listened to, to a station nobodies listen to; fabulous.

A check is a check. Doesn't matter who's giving it to you.

Unless it's David Hernandez.

The daily birthday segment was also part of the Mac, Jurko, and Harry Show.

If they did I forgot. I guess it's fine. You have to kill 4 hours a day. Gotta talk about something. It's a way to bring up a celebrity and talk about their movies and stuff like that. It's just the way Carmen does it that makes it feel so corny. Like I illustrated above.

This is starting to be weird. I mean doesn't management know if they want to do it by now? Or is Finfer still auditioning? That can't be it. He is what he is. They should know that.

Carm casually says "Ben Finfer is sitting in with us today and tomorrow." He and Jurko have to be a little pissed. If nothing else it means they have to split the show's worth with another salaried host.

i gave this show a listen instead of chris rongey pregame today.... they were resorting to famous birthdays and other generic filler sports talk... it sounded like a score weekend show... speigal and goff come off as radio gods compared to the boring vanilla crap i listened to today

You need to catch when Jurko and Waddle are on together. That's usually good.

Jurko has good days and bad days. Carmen needs somebody else.

checking this show out on tune in while the Sox are gone...man.

Just too plain. The hosts sound like they're in their sixties. Except Finfer who I couldn't stand to begin with.

Whenever Finfer is in Jurko takes the day off. Finfer and Carm are not a great pairing. They are both drivers and both are bland.

well, that would perfectly describe how vanilla the show is...I thought there were three people in the booth. Oops.

In my opinion, the problem with the Carmen & Jurko Show is that Carmen is not a good sparring partner for Jurko. The show too often is dominated by Jurko. When Finfer guests as a third co-host with Carmen and Jurko, the show has better balance.

Exactly. Not an avid listener, but I've caught enough to realize that. Jurko makes the outrageous, mean, cutting, edgy comments and Carm is like "Golly gee, Jurko, isn't that a bit harsh?" Or "C'mon, Jurko, you can't say that, that's mean." Or "Ok, let's move on. When we come back we'll talk about something boring, safe and simple. Up next, Today's Birthdays!!!!"

Finfer is okay, especially because most shows Jurko's only good for 2 hours. It's a good 2 hours when he's engaged, but then when he's not, he does his provocative statement shit which gets old quick.

Very true. Since the Score was WSOX I put on ESPN yesterday. There were a couple of instances where Jurko didn't speak for five plus minutes. You need a competent captain to steer a three-man radio ship. Carm ain't no Mackeyfish. Mac knew when and where to let Jurko chime in.

Spiegs and Goff called Carmen the most boring man in the sports talk landscape. They implied his favorite meal is a glass of milk with a side of toast (white bread.)

What was Jurko apologizing about today? Right around 1:55. He said something offensive during Friday's 3 and Out segment. What was it?

Did they really?

I've said similar things about Carm. It amazes me somebody his age acts like a 80 year old on the air.

Only thing I can think of is the ESPN rules have scared him straight. Cuz I've heard him say stuff like "You can get away with saying that, Jurko, I can't. So some where along the line he said something offensive, got a talking to and now just wants to be safe and boring to keep his job.

Everyone knows Carmen's favorite ice cream flavor is vanilla. His favorite bagels are plain, and his favorite meal is toast with a side of milk.
