I feels like West knows his shit but he has a massive need to be bigger than the game. If he just called games he'd be pretty good. I don't see him making lots of bad calls per second but he likes to get players and managers fired up with questionable shit just to toss em and get on sports center.

As far as bad calls go I'm thinking Bucknor or Angel Hernandez.

Met him in a Philadelphia hotel elevator back in 2009. We were there for Pearl Jam. The World Series was going on at the same time. He was surprisingly cordial. But yeah, comes off like an attention whore between the lines.

Angel Hernandez may be the first official in any sport that looked at a terrible call on replay and confirmed the terrible call. I don't think that anyone on the planet looked at that replay and said no home run other than Angel. On replay it was one of the most obvious blown calls ever. He looked at that and said yuup I'm right. Not one other human being can agree.
