Pax - Fuck.

That's funny, but you've got it wrong. Pax doesn't want Kobe because he's not a 6'10" power forward with no low post moves or rebounding ability.

You're right Midge. Noah's minutes were to motivate Wallace more than anything. Which fucking sucks since he's a vet making 13 million and shouldn't need a kick in the ass.

My guess is that Skiles is trying to motivate Thomas, who has superior athleticism but is stupid and raw offensively. Or it could be that Skiles is simply desperate. Thomas is unreliable; Wallace has become reliably mediocre; and Smith's bad knees prevent him from playing big minutes. The Bulls' collection of big men are average at best. So far they look a lot worse than that.

And Hinrich is a freakin' idiot. Have I mentioned that yet? I hate the way he makes such obvious, stupid and unnecessary fouls....and then always complains about the call to the refs. For a player purported to be so "smart", he's actually incredibly dumb.

It is early, but when Joe Smith is your best big man at any point, chances are your team is going to struggle.

If Ben Wallace is indeed injured, then please sit him because he's not helping.

Tyrus Thomas starts at PF, but does this guy really have a position ? He just seems to be out there at times than actually filling a role.

Noah provided some energy with a few blocks, but I don't think we can expect more than that with his offensive game being so poor.

Yeah, I don't think Thomas has a position right now. Eventually he will probably be a small forward, but he currently lacks the ballhandling and shooting to play there. It's also possible he will physically fill out and become a legitimate power forward, but he doesn't have the mass to hold his own there right now.

Am I basketball retarded for liking Noah?

His clappy-clap after every point is a bit dopey, but I think the kid COULD be a really good player. I think he gets after the ball, unlike the majority of the Bulls.

And one more thing, get Hinrich the fuck out of here! He has lost his luster and is just a crybaby. Refs are just waiting for him to give them a chance to "T" his ass up.

Noah, Wallace, Thomas all junk offense guys. This type of player is great to have, they turn missed shots and blocks into points, but when they are also your primary inside scoring we have a huge problem.

Another DNP on Gray!

Smith putting up big numbers off the bench, but lets not fall in love with his production, this was a bad Clipper team.

"We need some help"

I'm getting the same vibe from Noah, but that could be because he and Thomas are the only guys who don't seem totally phlegmatic or disengaged right now. Maybe these guys have been reading too much French existentialist literature because almost all of them seem to be suffering from a bad case of ennui. Scott Skiles could be the first coach ever to be launched for being unable to shepherd his players through a crisis of human agency.

I think Scott Skiles will be here for the long haul. I see players getting launched (i.e. Ben Wallace, Kirk Hinrich) before they fire Skiles.

I just think the current Bulls team stinks. Plain and simple.

They need some new blood and that blood would be Mr. Kobe Bryant.

They seem lost out there and play timid.

I wanted someone to knock the snot out of Bosey on the Clip. The Bulls just sit around and wait for a ball to bounce their way so they can throw it away on the transition.

Not basketball retarded, I just don't know if he'll ever be a complete player, maybe moreso of a defensive/energy player.

Did you think they sucked last season ? I know I didn't, and that why's I don't think they suck, but this is frustrating for sure.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but why not give Gray a few minutes just to see if he can do something in the post because we have nothing outside of Joe Smith down low for offense.

I say sit Ben Wallace if he is injured - I don't care if it's 3 games, or 10 games, I don't want to hear this excuse all year. Let's get him healthy -IF - he is indeed being held back by this ankle injury.

No. They don't suck. They'll run off 11 out of 15 shorty. They'll win 47-51 games. But I'd like to see a go to guy. I don't know. This team just might not be championship material. Bernsie might be right.

That's what I think also, but it won't happen until they get back from that trip. I thought they would go 3-3 (at best), but more than likely 2-4, so, in my opinion, we're looking at something between 2-10 and 4-8 to open the season.

Oh, there's no way this team is a legitimate championship contender. They possess neither an elite--or even an above average--penetrating guard nor a consistent scorer in the low post. Has an NBA team ever won a championship without one of these elements, let alone both? Fuck, the Bulls don't even have anybody who consistently demands a double team. Gordon draws the double occasionally, but he only scares opponents when he's unconscious, which isn't that often....

Here's the upcoming schedule:

Thu 08 vs Detroit
Sat 10 vs Toronto
Thu 15 @ Phoenix
Sat 17 @ LA Clippers
Sun 18 @ LA Lakers
Tue 20 @ Denver
Sat 24 @ New York
Sun 25 @ Toronto

The Bulls could conceivably start the season 0-12. 2-10 might be a best-case scenario.
