This sucks. Means I won't get home until 8pm Sunday and I have to get up at 4am Monday to fly out to Fla and then work a long day while hung over.

Bears-Broncos game time changed
NFL flex scheduling switches slot

By Vaughn McClure

Tribune staff reporter

The NFL bumped the Bears again.

For the second day in a row, the league announced a time change for the Bears as part of flex scheduling, with the Nov. 25 home game against the Broncos moving from noon to 3:15 p.m. on WBBM-Ch. 2. On Monday, the Bears' Sunday night NBC game against the Seahawks on Nov. 18 was moved to 3:15 p.m.

The latter switch made sense because the concept behind flex scheduling is to ensure quality matchups, and the Bears-Seahawks didn't look as appealing as the Patriots-Bills.

Flex scheduling also aims to have the better games in the late afternoon, which makes the switch of the Bears-Broncos game puzzling. Both teams are 3-5 and the Broncos are coming off a 44-7 loss to the Lions.

Three other Bears games are subject to flex scheduling: home games against the New York Giants (Dec. 2), Green Bay (Dec. 23) and New Orleans (Dec. 30).

I don't know why he said they put "better" matchups later in the afternoon. Anyone who watches the NFL every week knows that isn't usually the case. Games played in the western time zones usually get the later games, and those usually aren't the better games. Last weeks Colts-Pats game was an exception.
