Yes.
Or you.
Or any other regular guy.

Neither one of us could blow the Hawks entire chance to win a game while playing Kane's position/minutes.
We would easily destroy the Hawks chance to win if we tried to play goalie. The Hawks would have no shot with us in goal. The other team would score double digits easily.

Well, I think you're mistaken. Either of us would get our faces in front of enough pucks. And it's not really a question of a guy from the stands. It's a professional goaltender.

Scorehead mistake is in saying a goalie plays 60 minutes. He stands in the crease for sixty minutes. The action he actually sees is far less.

Thank god the Bowman agree with me and the Hawks keep winning and making all goalies seem good.

Turco
Huet
Khabibulin

They don't always seem good. Goalie is the most important position, it just shouldn't be the highest paid.
Sort of like a left tackle is more important than a WR or DE in the NFL. they just aren't usually paid as such.

No single hockey player has a bigger impact on the outcome of a game than the goalie.

That's silly. You probably aren't aware of this, but for one of the Cups the Hawks won in the 30s, they pulled a guy out of the stands to play goalie.

This isn't the 1930's. Goalies, much like Quarterbacks & Pitchers have the biggest impact on the outcome of their games.

Only a goalie can erase an outstanding or awful performance by the rest of the team. Extremely tough call on launching his contract. I ONLY do it if he is in fact the one who Sharped the Equipment managers wife.

I only do it if someone makes the Hawks a trade offer that is too good to turn down. Crawfords value will never be higher than it is now. If Jimmy Waite & the Hawks organization believes that Darling is ready, then make the deal. However, I have seen many Hawks goalies who were supposed to be the next great Hawks goalie, & weren't.

Stick with the guy who wins Stanley Cup's. Hawks win one last year if they don't let Quick take a nap in Game 7.

Goalies are the drummers of the NHL. A good one can make a bad team look better than they are. Bad one makes a good team look worse than they are.

A goalie is more like a kicker than a quarterback. He's only noticed when he fucks something up.

And Scorehead is right. It isn't the 30s. The Hawks allow less shots on goal than they did back then.

I'll keep Kane and pull a goalie out of the stands.

That's true. But if you have a situation where the goalie has to do that more than very occasionally, your team isn't very good anyway.

Pulling Crawford was probably one of the better things for him, probably helped him refocus whe needed. Dont think that was Q's intentions, but it worked out that way. coach gets the credit...even if it wasnt his plan

The reality is, the Blackhawks cannot afford the cap hit of Crawford's contract. He's going to get traded. Period.

Goalie isn't the the most important position. People like Dubnyk can go from the worst goalie in the league to a Vezina candidate due to the team around him.

Try to get your #1 C and #1 D and build around them. It has worked well for the Hawks.

A lot of guys took the convention off this summer. I don't hold it against any of them. They've done enough.
