Arkansas' Andrew Benintendi wins 2015 USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award. The power hitting outfielder is first Razorback to win the nation's top amateur player award.

He was nasty last night. He started getting tired in the 8th and I'm glad because he was on his way to a 130+ pitch night. If I were Corbin I'd throw Ferris Buehler and end this thing tonight. I really like Kirby but this is a tough start for him.

We get Bueller tonight and I was shocked Kirby didn't pitch last night. Kind of sad that this is the last game tonight. Can't wait.

I was surprised too. It has to be Kirby tonight, right? This will be his 2nd start in the last 2 months. All right Kid go win us a National Championship. Man what a mind fuck.

What about your boy Benintendi? Pretty cool stuff.

Very cool, but I figured he was winning it. He won every major player of the year award. Look forward to following his progress going forward.

I look forward to that too. I saw a couple Hog recruits yesterday. One was up to 94. I also heard the catcher from Wisconsin hit the holy hell out of the ball at PG National. Everything is coming up Hog!

Well it needs to, because that Vandy program is not going anywhere. They are amazing no matter what happens tonight.

Very true though next year could be a bit of a "struggle" (I use that term very loosely). They're going to lose all three of their weekend starters and their three best position players (Swanson, Wiel and Wiseman). Even for them that's tough to overcome but as we know help is on the way.

I'll move the conversation here. Area Codes are streaming on ESPN3 today. Some very interesting area players. Hawger your Arkansas recruit Brenden Heiss is throwing. Vandy recruit Drake Fellows (Joliet Catholic) might be throwing too.

That sucks. Ben Rortvedt, Jordan McFarland and Tyler Benninghoff are there too. Your Hogs are well represented.

The Perfect Game All American Game is on MLB Network tonight at 7:00pm. Lux, Rortvedt and Drake Fellows (Joliet Catholic) are playing. I hope it's better than yesterday's Under Armour game at Wrigley though it's almost impossible to be any worse.
